The shaking notes that make up “Folding Space” were recorded by two people holed up in their whole respective imaginations of visions of loops, layers and pleading lyrics. They sought sounds from the same dreams that give fools belief and colourfully punctuate the nights of the sanest. There are elements of dreamy ether and discomfort rather than the easy choruses and catchphrases of the most collected and consumed art form. The visions backing this elaborate music were recorded and are performed for a primary reason: to exist freely. An hour of music set in studios buried by blizzards of the American Great Lakes region. This 2009 edition has been remastered from the ground up, and is presented in completely redesigned packaging. Sources for cosmological activity utilised include: pulsars, quasars, thermal radiation, electron particle interaction, radio galaxies, remains of supernova explosions and background radiation. This activity is monitored by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. The command center of NASA’s Deep Space Network, a series of radio telescopes located around the globe. B. Lustmord weaves a deeply haunting and atmospheric album. Yasutoshi Yoshida's Government Alpha project started in 1992 and quickly became one of the leading names in the third generation of Japanese noise music. Government Alpha was characterised by its ferociously intense signature sound. Few artists consistently embodies this better than Government Alpha. "Resolution Of Remembrance 1992-1999" is a selection of 62 tracks from obscure releases in the years 1992 to 1999, released by labels like Harbinger Sound, Mother Savage Noise Productions, Hospital Productions, Utsu Tapes, American Tapes and of course Yoshida's own Xerxes imprint. The first CD also includes previously unreleased tracks from 1992/93. Remastered from the original cassette and DAT-masters by Yasutoshi Yoshida. Lustmord released “Crash Injury Trauma” in 1993, as a side project, under the pseudonym Isolrubin BK. “Crash Injury Trauma” is a shocking and disturbing album, unflinching and relentless in its fascination with violent car accidents. Tires skid and horns blare, followed by the sickening sounds of crashing metal and shattering glass, screams, sirens and heart-pounding bass. It’s a cruel, sadistic and horrifying tour de force in the ambient and power electronics genre. Following “Heresy” and “The Monstrous Soul”, and preceding “The Place Where The Black Stars Hang”, the album was recorded during what is now considered a pivotal period in the British artist’s career. Out of print for nearly a decade, this new 2009 edition has been remastered from the ground up, and is presented in completely redesigned packaging. |

"Malefeasance" is a lengthy and complex affair that further explores L'Acephale's fascinations and strikes headlong into the darkest of musical vistas. The journey this time is perhaps even more academic than the debut "Mord Und Totsclag": further ethnographic audio elements are now present, more spacious passages, a deeper approach. A mix of ambient, warping tones, black metal, chanting, ethereal keyboards, drones, acoustic guitars, noise, field recordings and Tibetan ritual music. The last two tracks best show the nature of Set Sothis' collaborations with Markus Wolff (Waldteufel, Crash Worship), sharing some of his vocal and percussive styles. By no means do L'Acephale make music for the casual listener. In many ways they transcend the preconceived ideas of what may be expected: L'Acephale are most successful at operating beyond the constraints of genre altogether, and 'Malefeasance', with its dark, dreamlike and harrowing atmospheres, is their testament. "Daur" (was the very first release of Troum (Ltd x 300, Cohort Records) and it presents very post-rock sounding material with a lot of decipherable guitar parts and a good drive. "Ljubimaya" was released by the Russian label Waystyx (Ltd x 455) and carries you towards a lyrical and touchy eternity of ever-beginning melodies without an end, into the emptiness of existence with all the uterine roar provided by Yen Pox on one of the tracks.
