DANIEL MENCHE - 'Scattered Remains: Early Rarities' 2 x CD (Soleilmoon)
(2005) Keeping track of the musical output of Daniel Menche has never been easy. Besides his numerous albums and singles, released by an eclectic range of labels, he has contributed countless tracks to compilations, many of which reached only the smallest of audiences. “Scattered Remains” tracks his progress from 1995 through 1999, collecting the best of these pieces, now fully remastered, onto two full-length CDs. Besides the material culled from CD compilations, three tracks previously only available on vinyl appear in digital form for the first time ever.
DEATH IN JUNE & BOYD RICE - 'Scorpion Wind' CD (NERUS / Soleilmoon)
(2007) Originally released in 1996 as Scorpion Wind's “Heaven Sent” CD / LP this album has long been considered the ‘lost’ classic collaboration between Death In June's Neofolk pioneer Douglas P. and Industrial music's renegade innovator Boyd Rice. Recorded in Australia prior to the pair starring in the cult film ‘Pearls Before Swine’, it is a unique, melodic and richly orchestrated ode to modern living, modern loving and modern hating. Joined by percussionist John Murphy (SPK, KnifeLadder) for the first of what was to prove many collaborations between the ‘Unregistered 3’ and young Australian group Strength Through Joy (now Ostara), these recordings proved to be the perfect follow up to 1990’s ground-breaking Boyd Rice & Friends album “Music, Martinis & Misanthropy”. Digitally remastered CD including two extra tracks from the era and stunning new artwork, presented in a red and black foil-blocked digisleeve.
DEATH IN JUNE - 'The Rule Of Thirds' CD (NER / Soleilmoon)
(2008) From Autumnal to Vernal Equinox, this is the Death In June Winter tree. Stripped bare, but for thirteen of its branches. But they are as strong as ever, and with thirteen glasses and one last toast, this new album captures the true essence of Death In June, again setting new standards in its self-created genre. Let the Blackbirds kiss you and may The Rule Of Thirds dictate your life. This is the first Death In June studio album in more than three years and has been likened to 'But What Ends When The Symbols Shatter?" and "Rose Clouds Of Holocaust". Toten Pop and Kampf Fire Music for the Neofolk generation! This CD edition is presented in an embossed softpak with 16 page lyric book.
Brand new release from the master of Dark Ambient! Lustmord has been creeping out the music world since 1980, prior to joining industrial forefathers SPK. By the time he started scoring films like 1994's "The Crow", he'd already worked with English experimental luminaries Nurse With Wound, Current 93, and members of Coil. His latest collection of night terrors and Lynch-ian atmospherics features guest appearances from Adam Jones (Tool), Aaron Turner (Isis) and Buzz Osborne (The Melvins). Presented in a stunning 6-panel digipak with booklet.
LUSTMORD - 'The Place Where The Black Stars Hang' CD (Soleilmoon)
"The Place Where the Black Stars Hang” was first released in 1994 on Side Effects, and while the earlier Lustmord album "Heresy" gave birth to the "Dark Ambient" genre, it is “The Place Where the Black Stars Hang” that defines it. It’s a work regularly cited by critics, audiences and musicians as being amongst the very best and most influential albums of its decade. This new edition has been re-mastered and given new artwork. The differences are subtle yet powerful, giving the album a more nuanced feeling of space and detail than ever before. Oft imitated, but never equalled, Lustmord: The Power of Sound.
