COELACANTH & KEITH EVANS - 'Wrack Light In Copper Ruin' CD & DVD (Seal Pool)
Jim Haynes & Loren Chasse collaborate with Keith Evans to create Coelacanth's 4th and most complex record. Culled from two performances, 'Wrack Light in Copper Ruin' meditates on the space of performance, the tactile nature of the creation of sound, and its ephemeral, elusive and entirely subjective character. The visuals of Keith Evans further the exploration with their organic, nocturnal, energy. More delicate than Coelacanth's previous recordings, 'Wrack Light' inhabits a space where artists such as Jonathan Coleclough, Andrew Chalk, Mirror, and MNortham can be found, yet it maintains the mysterious, oceanic nature its name implies. Features a guest appearance by Matmos. CD & DVD in a jewel case.

MICHAEL NORTHAM - 'Suhina' 10" (Substantia Innominata / Drone Records)
"Suhina" is a notion for the sound of the wind moving through the trees. Instead of capturing field recordings of wind, Michael Northam tried to capture this feeling and the essence of this process through instrumental recordings from Indonesian flute and keyboard. Natural phenomena seen as the true manifestation of the Unknown. Stunning full colour artwork by Indian artist Rohini Devasher. Ltd x 500 copies on white vinyl.

SEIJIRO MURAYAMA / MICHAEL NORTHAM - 'Moriendo Renascor' CD (Xing-Wu Records)
Between 2003 and 2004 Michael Northam and Seijiro Murayama met a few times in Switzerland and France. A comprehensive and extended document of these meetings has finally made its way in the form of "Moriendo Renascor" ("In death, rebirth"). Seeded from recordings taken in Lisbon, Portugal and Astoria, Oregon. Northam offered heavily mixed sources. Selections were made by trying to find segments of activated sonic 'matter' then finally to be passed through the ears and hands of Murayama. A shared desire to find some shared experience through the medium of sound. An unlikely meeting between a densely planned acousmatic 'composter' and a highly disciplined improvisor. Comes in a gatefold sleeve made from thick and weighted brown recycled card. Malaysian import.

XABEC - 'Feuerstern' 7" Boxset (Drone Records)
"Feuerstern" ("Firestar") captures two tracks of luminous tones and magnetic resonances, which create a warm and floating aural flux. With mellow concrete material setting the counterpoint, very subtle hisses, smacking and clicking sounds can be distinguished. These are enriched further on Side B with field recordings by Michael Northam, made in 2006 at the Audioframes Sonic Art Festival in Herne. This was where "Feuerstern" was also performed in a choreographed way using fireworks! Very delicate tone colours and a perfectly balanced sound pattern allow for contemplative listening sessions. The 7" comes in a golden lettered and embossed grey cardboard box with golden printed inlay. First edition of 300 copies on dark red vinyl.
