This 3-way split features exclusive tracks by Tony Conrad, Ralf Wehowsky and Jim O'Rourke, composed for the annual 'Avanto' festival in Helsinki. Conrad’s piece works a lone processed violin to glorious effect; the solo variant of his “four violins.” Wehowsky's track is a musique concrète piece built out of assorted instrumentation and children’s vocals. O'Rourke's piece is a stunning rumination of drone-sound (harkening back to his “disengage” era) and incorporates 20-odd years of material from his personal tape collection. Presented in a 6-panel digifile.
