The brand new album from A Challenge Of Honour! Since their last album "Seven Samurai" was released 4 years ago and in these past years many things changed in ACOH. Peter learned to play several acoustic instruments in the last years and some guest musicians also helped to create the band's new style. Most songs are with lyrics and have quite a dreamy and catchy atmosphere with monumental and heroic parts. ALLERSEELEN - 'Archaische Arbeiten' 2 x LP (Ahnstern)
(2003) This release contains a selection of ancient recordings by Allerseelen, which were published in 1989 on various cassettes. All the recordings are digitally remastered. The cover artwork shows powerful warrior menhirs of Corsica, photographed by Gerhard on a magical mystery tour in 1998. "Archaische Arbeiten" is dedicated to everyone who was fascinated by the early recordings of Allerseelen and who has remained comrades. (2008) All the recordings on this split release were inspired by the dark symbolist poetry of Austrian poet Georg Trakl. All poems were narrated by Gerhard Hallstatt on Walpurgis Night, 30.IV.2007 at Haus zur letzten Latern, Vienna. This CD was presented live in February / March 2008 in the Russian cities of Kazan, Rostov, Nizhniy Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Ryazan by Allerseelen and Otzepenevshiye. ALLERSEELEN / SANGRE CAVALLUM - 'Barco Do Vinho' CD (Ahnstern)
(2006) 'Barco do Vinho' were the boats that in the past that brought the barrels of wine from the vineyards in Callaecia (Northern Portugal) on the river Douro to the town of Porto. This CD features four exclusive songs by the Northern-Portuguese group Sangre Cavallum and four exclusive songs by the Austrian group Allerseelen. Ancient and traditional but at the same time brand new avant-garde music, somewhere between apocalyptic folklore and psychedelic rock. Poetical songs about the journey of the wine, from the vineyard to the river. Then a silent darkness, a timeless life inside oak barrels, turning the wine into flavoured blood for a toast between men and nature. Presented in a 6-panel digipak.
(2006) The 4th Asmorod CD is a fascinating, introspective, deep ambient work that distinguishes itself from the mass of uniform dark ambient releases. Niiko (now the only member of Asmorod) used the word Hysope (French word for "Hyssop") as a symbol of spiritual purification. In ancient times, Hyssop was used for the cleansing of lepers (Leprosy may represent sin... but lepers were not necessarily sinful) and used for cleaning sacred places. It is alluded to in the Scriptures: 'Purge me with Hyssop, and I shall be clean' (Purify me from my sins, and i will be clean; wash me, and i will be whiter than snow. Psalms 51:7). (2008) Falkenstein's self produced debut-album "Heiliger Wald" gained a lot of praise in Folk music press. Their 2nd album "Urdarbrunnen" is now released by the Steinklang Neofolk sub-label Heimatfolk. "Urdarbrunnen" is again a perfecly played, strong and dreamingly beautiful album with a rich, varied instrumentation, even more dense and powerful than the debut album. The musical range lasts from acoustic ballads over Martial Folk songs to dark fairie tales about mysticism, paganism and natural rites in the Alpine regions.
