TenHornedBeast’s third album for Cold Spring was recorded from 2006-2009. This album introduces subtle changes to the established THB sound with delicate interludes separating longer tracks that rage with heavy distortion and doom-drone barbarism. “Hunts & Wars” progresses the established THB sound using leaden, sub-tuned bass guitar to create rhythms and riffs that dominate a battlefield of vast ritual percussion and droning walls of electric dissonance, creating epic and expansive textures that by turns burn with frost and freeze with fire. Influenced by the oneiric visions of Robert E Howard and Lord Dunsany. "Hunts & Wars” seeks to evoke the elemental, anti-modern fantasias of these writers and is presented in a 6-panel digipak designed by graphic designer Kevin Yuen (Sunn O))), Wolves In The Throne Room) to its full grotesque glory.
The days have come when the steel will rule. Titans arise, monuments fall. Ballads of victory and defeat are sung aloud as from the highest steps we are swept on to the eternal Hunts and Wars.

The tracks on "Daas" have been carefully picked to form a provoking, haunting journey. What the tracks have in common is a sense of nostalgic graininess. As with the music of Philip Jeck, The Caretaker or William Basinski, these tracks are full of degrading melodies and dusty ambience. 'Daas' is the previously unreleased opening track of the album, and features contributions by the great Richard Skelton. 'Flotter', 'Koploop' and 'Grom' were previously available on small run self released EPs, while 'Onkruid' was a track previously released on 'A Room Forever', as an expensive and extremely limited 12" boxset. "Fabrication 2" is the sequel to “Fabrication”, the first collaboration between Richard Chartier and Asmus Tietchens released in 2007 (Die Stadt). Whereas for the first collaboration the idea developed from the project around reinterpretations of Chartier’s “Postfabricated”, this time the efforts were directly focused on the reinterpretation of specific basic sound material. This material can be found on the first disc of “Prefabrication 2″, which was constructed by Richard Chartier alone in Montreal and Washington, DC. “Fabrication 2″ is the reworking of this sonic basis by Asmus Tietchens. Over the last few dogs days of summer 2008, Italy’s OvO and Canada’s Nadja got together in their adoptive city of Berlin at Einstürzende Neubauten’s andereBaustelle Studio. With engineer Boris Wilsdorf at the board, each duo began two songs and had the other duo finish them, Bruno and Stefania adding heavy, pounding rhythms and harsh, eerie vocals to Aidan and Leah’s ambient textures and bass-heavy drones.
The album, while still heavy and still retaining signature sounds of both groups, turned out mellower than either band expected. But this mellowness gives the songs a greater sense of presence and allows for the intricacies and nuances of each individual’s contributions to be properly heard. With a final
mastering by James Plotkin, this album sounds simultaneously harsh and lush, aggressive and warm.
Having coffee after the sessions in the back garden, a wasp drugged on sugar flew into Leah’s coffee cup and drowned itself, traumatizing everyone at the table. Ltd x 500 copies on black vinyl.

This album took many months to record as a result of the careful attention paid to the record by the duo. This LP provides both classic R.Y.N. darkness plus even heavier oppressive, dark, soundscapes that can only be fully appreciated on vinyl over the two side-long tracks: Archaic Techniques Of Ecstacy and Provisional Sketch Of The Mind. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle) and her reactivated Psychic TV aka "PTV3" release their second album. Most of these tracks were recorded live for NPR's "World Cafe" programme in Philadelphia, May 2008 or at Galapagos Arts Space, Brooklyn, New York 2007. This initial pressing includes an exclusive DVD boasting 30 minutes of unseen Psychic TV / PTV3 live, on the road and in the studio by filmmaker Marie Losier and other surprises. For this project Psychic TV / PTV3 were: Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge, Edley ODowd, Hanna Haddix, Marrkus Aurelius Cirkus Maximus Fabulous Perrson, David XXX Maxxx, Alice Genese and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. NO overdubs, no remixing. What you hear is what the band played. Includes "I Am Making A Mirror", Lady Jaye's song / poem for Genesis previously only available on the vinyl version of "Hell Is Invisible...", the previously unreleased mix of "New York Story" by Michael Gira (Angels of Light, Swans), live recordings from PTV3's residency at Galapagos Art Space as well as 2 entirely new tracks: "The Alien Brain" and "I Love You, I Know".
