VOMIR & TORBA - 'Unstable Geometry' 7" (At War With False Noise / Swollen Avantgarde / Aaltra Records / Underground Pollution / Suoni Grezzi / Nhdiystrec)
Collaborative effort between Torba of Italy and French harsh noise wall legend Vomir. On the first side Torba takes the fore: his scraping metal trash collapses down Vomir's crumbling static walls. Torba has a HNW-approach to his noise in that the sounds on here don't really go anywhere; it ends abruptly just as it came in. The second side has the harsh Vomir wall really to the fore, with piercing insect noise scraping away at it constantly. A top HNW collaboration! Ltd x 325 copies with a screenprinted sleeve.

VOMIR - 'Application À Aphistemi' CD (Maisonbruit)
"No dynamics, no change, no development, no ideas, is how French wall-noise master Romain Perrot once summed up the Vomir aesthetic. The 70-odd recordings he has produced under the name - all seething slabs of layered noise - have varied in density but never in approach or conception. How can such a project move forward? Well, the obvious answer is by realising the same idea with different means. Thus, the second track hear, "L'Apparence Du Vrai Est Un Moment Du Faux", is a harsh noise wall performed on a 12-string electroacoustic guitar, the first of its kind in the Vomir catalogue. It has everything you listen for in a HNW release - the crackling cross-rhythms, the transformation of static mass into polyphony - but the pace (if that makes sense) is slower; there are strings, so there's pitch; and you can hear the rattle of the guitar-neck. Track one, on the other hand, is classic Vomir: a blizzard in constant crescendo, uncompromisingly empty, infinitely detailed" (The Wire). Ltd x 500 copies with embroidered patch.
French HNW hero Vomir presents 2 tracks of crushing noise wall of absolute nothingness... just a seemingly infinite maelstrom of extreme low-end rumbling, severe unchanging distortion, crunchy oceanic filth, and abyssal static that Vomir forges into a primordial wall of black frequency chaos. VOMIR - 'Proanomie' CD (At War With False Noise)
The first ever "proper" CD of this French harsh noise wall unit doesn't disappoint. "I find it difficult to describe the sheer brutality of either the concept of Vomir's music or indeed the sound of the music itself. It's long, it does not change, and it leaves me with a feeling of intense loss and depression afterward. Truly some of the most powerful music I know. For Vomir there is nothing, and this is how he makes that statement. It's an ugly listen for sure, but well worth the effort". (AWWFN). Ltd x 500 copies.
