slab of experimental Drone from this UK duo, originally
recorded in 2001/2, and finally released on Harbinger
in 2008. "Nostrum" and "Earblind"
(Uden) were recorded in Nottingham in 2001, whilst "Aakal"
(Cammack) was recorded in Exeter, Devon in January 2002
(with Michael Parker, the bassist from Appliance). The
main body of "Aakal" is samples from recordings
made with taped conversations from OTO member Frater
Kane and the odd sound from one of Michael’s home
made FX boxes. Ltd x 400 copies on camouflage / marbled

album, dedicated to Austin Osman Spare, includes 60
minutes of pure magickal sounds, conceived by Different
State and Sigill. Each of them represents a slightly
different approach, although they are both connected
by mystical, alchemical, ritual characteristics. Marchoff
(Different State) describes his music as alchembient
- a mix of illbient, a great deal of alchemical incantations
and moans. Sigill is a project consisting of Brat
Salo and Nantur; a duo creating electronic lunar spaces
and astral soundscapes using samples and ancient instruments.
The material was conceived during winter solstice
2006. Issued in a stunning 6-panel glossy digipak.

'Language of Red Goats' is a complete work in itself,
but can also be viewed as the first facet of a tripartite
series of works that are part of one holistic creation
– three faces of the same being. More akin to
a primitive field recording in the realm of oneirotropic
exploration, than an actual album, the work consists
of one lengthy tripartite soundscape. Utilising only
gongs, bells, metal bowls and wind instruments, as well
as flocks of birds, the work is in contrast to earlier
more refined works that feature a wide multiplicity
of instruments and soundsources. 'Language of Red Goats'
is a bare, primitive and sometimes raw aural landscape,
and yet nonetheless achieves a rare subliminal intensity
and an edge of otherwordly luminosity. Comes in a hand
finished cardboard booklet, in an edition of 920 copies.

describe with sounds the white landscape, the blinding
light reflected by the frozen oceans, the abyssal
silence. I have imagined myself in flight over this
Sleeping Earth, a solitary winged-being surrounded
by winds, air, water and ice. This led me to compose
an airy drone with minimal variations and delicate
tones, an hommage to a pure, uncontaminated and remote

of waving and slowly shifting massive drones, based
on guitar, bass, metal and effects. The sounds here
are just flooding immensely, there's nothing 'concrete'
you can hold onto; the mind and body seem to be washed
out slowly by these rustling feedbacking and deeply
reverberating overtune-waves. "Astral Death"
is a journey into the pulsating, meandering heart

de Waard to record a delicate work of improvisation,
using the studio's old analogue synthesizers, cassette
tapes, guitars and electronics. The session was recorded
on multi-track and mixed by Frans de Waard shortly
after, with some minor revisions by Roel Meelkop much
later. Comes with a remix by Evala, Port's in-house
composer of all delicate delights. Japanese import
in a cardboard sleeve with 'lot number'.

own label. Performing some of the greatest songs of
the Folk tradition and giving them totally unique
and challenging new interpretations, Sally Doherty
(ex-Sieben) has produced a notable album that has
obvious Folk elements but also has experimental aspects
too. In this, her fifth album, she explores songs
from Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain and Mexico as
well as a couple of her own that fit beautifully with
the traditional classics. Rich atmospheric moods with
early French medieval styles mixing with tracks of
haunting simplicity and others of lush, dark orchestration.
This
digitally-remastered album comes with a bonus track
and is limited to 500 copies.

is the solo project of Jon Attwood, a guitarist based
in Leicestershire, UK. Since 1995 he has been making
home recordings, initially guitar drones, slowly evolving
to more structured melodic music including samples,
programmed beats, reverb and a large improvisational
element. "When The Leaves Fall..." was recorded
in Stockholm in 2007. Born out of the isolation of
6 weeks spent in a foreign city, this album is pretty
minimal compared to previous releases, but not minimalist.

with the 2007 release 'Forwaard', rhythmajikal percussionist
Z'EV continues his collaborations with Frans
De Waard in the form of the latest installment,
'Outwaard'. Whereas the sound sources used on 'Forwaard'
where of a varying nature, on 'Outwaard' they were
all made at a petting zoo in Kleve, Germany. These
recordings which are 'recoded' by Z'EV into a 40-minute,
densely layered pattern of musique concrete. Many
of the animal call like sounds disappear in the 'recoded'
version and makes a particular strong work, but occasionally
one returns and leaves a no less than haunting listening

pay tribute to mother nature, "a la" Drudkh,
but sound like depressive black metal on the harsher
side. Reminds of Burzum and early Mayhem. "Ancient

84 minutes of music. Regular edition, limited to 666
copies in a matt DVD digipak with booklet and insert
