artist. Deadhead is simply brilliant electronic music,
mixed with Neoclassical elements and Russian samples
and hymns. Some tracks appear with Martial drums and
trumpets, others feel more like the finnish cult-label
Sähkö. Deadhead is without doubt the most
musical work of Bardoseneticcube. You will be pleasantly

This is a beautiful yet serious record from this Russian
artist (half of Sleepy Town Manufacture). It is ambience,
but not simply ambient. These are cinematic tracks begging
for a narrative, often invoking the skeletons of stories
with found sounds, alongside the sound of machinery.
The sound is thickly layered with varied pitch tones
and drones which often become so much a part of the
soundscape that they become the foundation of its lushness;
sometimes building tension, sometimes delivering an
other-worldy, floating quality. Limited to 790 copies
in a matt digipak. |

"Edge Of Nothing" was first released in a
cassette edition of 5 (!) copies on Jackman’s
Aeroplane imprint, and then included on the legendary
“The Elephant Table Album” DLP in 1983 (feat.
Coil, Nurse With Wound, SPK, Lustmord etc). Both tracks
presented here are the January 2003 mixes of the original
material, which was derived from variously stimulating
a cymbal with bows, knuckles, loops etc. An extremely
dense piece of experimental noise where (allegedly)
the B side is the A side reversed. Regular edition of
400 copies. |

RARE RESTOCK! This 1997 CD is characteristic of Endvra's
genius at melding various approaches into a "dark
ambient" dreamscape. As the album's title suggests,
the thematic focus is centred around "Hymn to Pan".
The musical styles vary between minimalist ritual-industrial
rhythms and ambient-orchestral pieces. Vocals for "The
Truth Is A Sharp Knife" were recorded in Durham
cathedral, whilst "From Sickening Skies' was recording
during a lunar eclipse in 1996. Christopher Walton went
on to form TenHornedBeast, whiile Stephen Pennick formed
Ontario Blue. An essential and now hard to find Endvra
release - and the inspiration for many a hood-wearing
artist! |

One 50-minute long, tantric piece by this great esoteric
revelation, with their ritual ambient and dark songs.
Very introspective and at the same time floating and
spacy minimal sounds. Sounds to touch the deepest side
of your mind and soul. Christopher Walton went on to
form TenHornedBeast, whiile Stephen Pennick formed Ontario
Blue. Limited to just 1000 hand-numbered copies. First

it’s first release. As an abstract radio transmission
from a hellish toy factory, this nightmare of experimental
death electronics is filled with manic rusted toy samples,
disturbing natural soundtextures and weird mutating
cut-up soundscapes. A chaotic, naïve and childish
audio journey through the noisy insane toy factory corridors.

Side project of Lunar Abyss Quartet, with a previous
7” on Drone Records. “Snovidenie”
contains reworked material from the ultra-limited EP
"Sleeping In The Sleep" plus new tracks dedicated
to the subject of dreams. The musical canvas of the
album streams like a river, on which surface one can
watch layers of droning ambient, voices of mermaids
and forest spirits, ritual percussion, echoes of electronic
impulses. Lots of authentic Russian folk instruments
and field recordings were used on this recording. Presented
in a hand-made foldout card sleeve (each one being unique).

Adorning the cover of this release is a beautiful image
of ferry boats on a calm, yet brooding expanse of water;
and it's from these ferries that all the original sounds
were sourced. They were then reformed, reprocessed and
manipulated to make a series of hauntingly beautiful
sound sculptures that carry all the hallmarks of menace
and darkness that the name would suggest. Resonant textures,
high frequency shifts, noisy punctuations, which are
evocative of the original source material. Stark interludes
combine to give the listener a very compelling listen
indeed. Recommended for fans of the more abstract end
of electronic music. Gatefold cover. |

RESTOCK! “Scene” contains four long pieces,
recorded and mixed in November 2004. This material is
not remarkable for it's brutality, rather on the contrary.
The album is filled with straight rhythmic moments and
ambient diffusions, but of course Masami Akita couldn't
do it without good noise flavouring even here. Comes
in a slipcase with artwork by Masami Akita himself.

repetitive melody. Heavily distorted low and mid frequency
textures dominate the early moments, giving way to confrontational
high-pitched abrasions. Heavyweight, clear vinyl presented

Noise unit. Opening with smothering, churning, rhythmic,

continues into a deafening Power Electronics crescendo.

Shift treats the listener to a dense and tormented composition.
Violent vocals and high frequencies, with lots of noise
and feedback. Sweden’s Institut (known from their
releases on Cold Meat Industry) almost sounds peaceful
in comparison. ‘Beginners’ starts as an
Industrial soundscape, with low rumblings and vague
Russian speech samples; but in true Institut style,
the track gets more aggressive, veering into Power Electronics.

Two noisy acts collaborate in their battle against “everyday
indolence and mass mentality”. Shift is a Swedish
Noise artist based in Hampshire, UK and presents grinding
and distorted Death Industrial and rhythmic Power Electronics.
Operative Permanent is another project of Lirim Cajani
(Institut), whose track (mastered by Peter Andersson
of Raison D'Etre) is filled with militant vocals and
aggressive Power Electronics in the way of Genocide
Organ, Whitehouse etc. Limited to 300 hand-numbered
copies in a foldout sleeve. |
| VETROPHONIA
- 'The Space Voyage’ DVD-R (Zhelezobeton)

LIMITED RESTOCK! The science fiction film "The
Space Voyage" was first shown in Soviet cinema
theatres in January 1936. Soviet cinematographers
managed to create a surprisingly realistic image of
a journey to the Moon for that time - long before
the beginning of real space research. The original
film had a soundtrack compiled of various classical
music compositions. But what could be more appropriate
to the constructivist spirit of Soviet times than
the retro-futurism of St. Petersburg's noise scene
classics? Vetrophonia (Nick Soudnick of ZGA and Alexander
Lebedev-Frontov of Linija Mass and Stalnoy Pakt) solved
this task with enthusiasm. During 2005 they laboriously
collected samples, recorded the parts of electronic
and acoustic instruments and composed collages for
each specific scene of the film. The result turned
out to be beyond all praise. The DVD-R with the movie
has an option of turning on English subtitles and
comes with a booklet containing an article about the
shooting process. Packed in a special cardboard sleeve.
