In December 2003, Sikhara came together with Bastard
Noise (Wood / Weise / Nelson line-up) for a studio session
in Valencia, California. The two groups each created
the groundwork for a track, which the other played over
the top of, for a sort of duality in the composition.
BN contributed a classic example of their "Caveman
Electronics", combined with laptop manipulations.
Sikhara leant a sense of identity to the tracks with
a series of vocal collages, invoking a story to accompany
the harsh sound beds of BN. Surgically mixed by sonic

- Knut Enderlein. On this first disc, the songs layer
cosmic and synthetic sounds and go on tracing according

into sounds and effects to lunar spheres and solar places.
The five remixes and interpretations of ANTLERS MULM,
BAD SECTOR, FIRST LAW and LOVESPELL on the second disc
support the complex character of the whole release and
expand the into a new style of Ambient songs. More 'song'

An interesting piece of Italian dark ambient. The intention
here is to recreate the anxious vision of the beginning
of the 20th century - desolated places of that period,
fear, death, ruins etc. Particulary for this album,
Neuestrasse were inspired by stories of serial killers.
Neuestrasse is the name of street of where Fritz Hartmann,
"The Wolf of Hannover", resided in 1920. The
idea of "Introspective Black Forms" is based
of negative emotional states. Presented in a digipak. |

Abrasive,
wild, intense, harsh noise / power electronics. Provably
the most aggressive album to come out from the city
of Barcelona in 2005. They seem to be influenced by
early sick industrial classics to now dig into raw
noise dynamics, death-ambient unstructured structures,
as visceral as it could ever be. Seemingly improvised
slabs of noise and sound experimentations which should
appeal to daily consumers of Prurient, Bastard Noise
or Merzbow. The members are also involved in the metal
projects Bukkakke and Música Veneno. A release

Three long tracks from three Norwegian artists: Stian
Skagen (half of Ryfylke), Morten Halvorsen and the
other part of Ryfylke; Sten Ove Toft. An intriguing
trio of tracks spanning rythmic noise to meditative
drone / ambient. Skagan presents aggressive ambient,
with escalating noise levels. Morten Norbye Halvorsen
pursues steady pitches of volume, noise and intensity
ala Mego / Microsound. Toft's imput is more of a deathly
drone, spewing forth aural lava before suddenly cooling
to a placid whisper. Presented in a standard PVC sleeve.

Very attractive debut of this French neoclassical, neo-symphonic,
martial industrial act. Fourty minutes of music over
nine tracks, created in a specific orchestral vein.
Not so many mighty, bombastic phrases as one would expect,
but a lot of moving atmospheres instead. It could be
said Sturm wear their influences on their sleeve. Recommended
to fans of A Challenge Of Honour etc. Digipak. |

Sturmpercht LP, this obscure pearl of Alpine-Folk music

remastered. Pure weird Alpine-Folk music with martial
drinking-songs, alpine battle-hymns and strange fairie-tales
out from the deepest Austrian and Bavarian forests,
all embedded in a breath of black Monty Python humour.

Uranium USSR 1972 is a sice-project of Angelo Bergamini
(Kirlian
Camera). A chapter apart in the history of ambient-trance
music, able to evoke strange and sometimes nervous
alien urban worlds. Intimately powerful and innovative,
this long awaited UU72 ''opera prima'' is a successful
combination of new electronic horizons and retro vintage
machines, not paying any debt to any ''experimentalists''
in particular. Once again, Bergamini surprises us
with a unique idea, giving life to a restless and
rainy scenery made of extreme solitude, alienated
rhythms and touching moments, all permeated by an
unusual sense of black humour. With sumptuous artwork
by Elena Alice Fossi (Kirlian

Photographer and artist Yuri Elik is primarily known
as one of the founders multimedia project 2012, creating
audio-video installations for various contemporary art
festivals (Heilige Feuer etc). Gosha Solnzev is the
leader of the project Noises of Russia and has always
claimed that he plays funeral music, so it's no wonder
he showed interest in EVP. The exploration of this led
phenomenon led to an effective cooperation between Gosha
and Yuri, which resulted in a series of live performances
with the "Voices of the Dead" program and
this short film - 24 minutes of obscure psychedelic
drama evolving in front of the spectator. A multi-layered
collage of concrete visual images and kaleidoscopic
colour constantly transforms, accompanied by unusual
and uneasy sombre ambient with real EVP interlaced in
it's structure. As a bonus this disk also contains a
12-min slide-film "City Spirits". Packed in
a special cardboard sleeve with a booklet with an encyclopaedic
reference about EVP. Ltd x 250 hand-numbered copies
only!
