released in an edition of 500 copies. Occasional bursts of
factory noise, industrial rumblings and disembodied German
voices form the backdrop to a minimalist reworking of Kafka's
"The Trial." An album of dense filmic atmospheres
and orchestral instrumentation. 'The Scribbler' has been digitally
remastered and is enhanced with a series of video clips constructed
by Richard Grant (I+T=R), incorporating both new material
together with the original images prepared for "The Scribbler"
live show.

The work of Jägerblut ("Hunter's Blood")
can best be described as listening to a musical narrative,
told in several parts forming a larger story of another
time and place. Bavarian fiction is infused with pagan
and christian mysticism. Drawing heavily from rural
lore, legends of blood-covered martyrs and the inevitability
of nature, the musicians try to find their roots within
the context of modernity. The music itself ranges
from whimsical folk to ritualistic versions of the
local styles, psychedelic folk and industrial sounds.
Always wandering between sadness and exultation, the
experience of Jägerblut is that of the world
being full of dark poetry. A unique masterpiece and

DELPLANQUE - 'Ma Chambre Quand Je N'y Suis

This is the stereo version of a sound installation
presented at Montréal’s Studio Cormier
in December 2004. The piece is based on the recording
of “silences”, i.e. the recording of sound
produced in spaces with no human presence. The sound
of an “empty” Studio Cormier was used
as the material for the production of this piece.
The sound takes were done during the quietest moments
of the day, by means of microphones placed strategically
throughout the Studio by the artist. The sounds gathered
were then amplified and their frequencies accentuated
to the extreme. The result of the experiment, as presented
here, constitutes a genuine drone odyssey playing
on fullness and emptiness, presence and absence, ‘’speak’’
and ‘’non-speak’. One long track
full of subtle movement and enlivened with underlying
currents. Limited to 500 copies in a textured sleeve

Stalaggh's final masterwerk "Projekt Misanthropia"
can certainly be called a progression from the earlier
and already realised Stalaggh sound. For the non-believers
it will all start to make sense about 5 minutes into
this hopelessly pessimistic journey. Stalaggh utilise
traditional instruments into their "recipe"
and one can decipher from such inflection points less
than harmonious guitar that certainly does nothing
to bowdlerize the formula Stalaggh have commanded
forth. "Projekt Misanthropia" is THE Stalaggh
statement and is a fitting funeral for life itself.
Gone completely wrong yet having never promised any
certain outcome. Just like life. Digipak, hand-numbered

Loosely influenced by the prog records of Wakeford's
youth, "Into The Woods" describes a weird
England of the 60's and 70's, where pockets of woodland
hold out against the encroaching suburbs. A dark England
of out-of-work hangmen, dubious priests and Woman's
Institute covens. "Into The Woods" features
guest appearances from Kris Force (Amber
Asylum), Reeve Malka and Guy Harries (Orchestra
Noir), and the whole Sol Invictus crew (Caroline Jago,
Andrew
King, Renée Rosen). This first edition
of 2000 copies is presented in a beautiful matt digipak
with artwork by painter Richard Moult.

Visions, or the thousand and one perspectives of the
intersidereal infinite, transposed into sounds conjuring
spherical images. The sound themes and perspectives
proposed within the 2 tracks are numerous, and they
harmonize in a sublimely complex and thoughtful way.
The main backdrop is composed of dark synthetic layers
which stretch towards the infinite, and which welcome
gradually, among others, sound motifs that are acoustically
generated and that echo each other, reinforcing the
effect of sound vortex into which the listener is
dragged. Ethereal melodies accentuate the epic character
of this odyssey into the unfathomable interstellar
immensity. A release which will appeal to fans of
Dark Ambient in the way of Frédéric
Arbour's own label, Cyclic
Law. Ltd x 270 hand-numbered copies in a heavenly
gatefold sleeve.
