Porto. This CD features four exclusive songs by the
Northern-Portuguese group Sangre Cavallum and four exclusive
songs by the Austrian group Allerseelen. Ancient and
traditional but at the same time brand new avant-garde
music, somewhere between apocalyptic folklore and psychedelic
rock. Poetical songs about the journey of the wine,
from the vineyard to the river. Then a silent darkness,
a timeless life inside oak barrels, turning the wine
into flavoured blood for a toast between men and nature.

Foundation Hope was formed in 2003 by Joep Smaling.
The main idea was to make dark cinematical soundscapes
with a strong focus on the harshness and cruelty of
everyday life. Ironically presenting itself as a foundation,

of distress, it is instead an attempt to confront
the listener with moods of isolation, despair and
sorrow. Drones, strings, melancholic tunes, confusing

This work came about as the two were composing sound
and music for a piece by Gisèle Vienne and
Dennis Cooper, entitled 'Kindertotenlieder'. This
CD is NOT the soundtrack to said piece, but a separate
project. However, elements may appear in the finished
piece which is to be premiered in Brest, France, March
2007. Doom, Drone, Bass guitar noise abuse, as to
be expected...

The black atmosphere of 'Nera' weighs heavily on the
soul. However, Rome manages to include warmth and
affection in its cold world of steel. The songs are
full of citations, abstractions and ideals. The marching
and counter-marching of doubtful armies luring our
love away, with icy and bitter irony. These are some
of Nera's interlocking themes in a world scorched
by the wastefulness and cruelty of war. Less martial
and post-Industrial than their debut EP, 'Nera' is
a much more accessible, almost new wave offering,
though there is still a sprinkling of Neoclassical

electrical disturbances. A stormy and unsettling hour-long

The third offering from Norway's Svartsinn could be
acknowledged as the end of a trilogy, the first opus
"Devouring Consciousness" was an album containing
stories made during what the artist explains as being
some difficult and rough times. The second offering,
"Of Darkness And Re-Creation", was the process
of trying to deal with these struggles and reflect
on them. "Traces Of Nothingness" is simply
the reaction, result and the path ahead in this ongoing,
seemingly endless darkness. A slightly more melodic,
sad and obscure side of Svartsinn that still keeps
the cold and dark atmosphere that defines his sound.

music that varies from traditional Icelandic folklore

Icelandic landscape, shot by the band in 2004 and

tracks are very dark and melancholic, a mixture of
dark folk, ethereal and neo-classical elements. Nice

This volume commemorates the spirit and atmosphere of
the third incarnation of the biggest regular Russian
industrial festival, which took place in Saint-Petersburg
on October 19th, 2002. As usual, each of the contributors
(who also played at the festival), made two exclusive
studio tracks for this compilation. Martial rhythms
and orchestral chord patterns from Wappenbund,
obscure forest-inspired drone from Lunar
Abyss Quartet, deep dark ambient from Inade
