The music can be likened to a dark well, the oily surface of which not only reflects the phantasms of mind recalled through participation in the "Mirrorion" cycle, but is occasionally broken by scorpionic surges of primal Power invigorating the act of contemplation. "Chimney" is the final result of a year of sporadic and inspired sessions of improvised music making by Marc Blackie (Sleeping Pictures) and Lloyd James (Naevus). The instrumentation used ranges across piano, percussion, guitar, synthesizer, accordion, electronic treatments and abused microphones to produce pieces whose styles could be variously described as: ambient, mock-power electronics, exotica... but, for the most part, the pieces here simply defy description. RESTOCK! Collaboration between two Swedish masterminds: Peter Nyström (Negru Voda / Megaptera) and Mathias Josefson (Moljebka Pvlse). Both artists are well-known for their releases on Cold Meat Industry, Fin De Siecle Media etc. Great dark ambient in the fine Swedish tradition… two long, beautifully pure and dark tracks with a bleak northern feel. The shimmering drones of Moljebka blending with the more threatening noise interludes and pulsating blackness of Negru Voda.

This conceptual album from Nocturne is built arround the figure of "Dr. Mabuse" the anti-hero of Norbert Jacques's novel, the genius of crime and chaos, of finance in a world slowly falling apart in the first years of the 20th Century. Slowly moving tracks, recalling the atmosphere of the years before First World War - a very 'industrial' concept using analogue instrumentation mixed with sound-samples from the beginning of the last century and many samples taken from the legendary "Dr. Mabuse" film. This release comes presented in an oversized 7" Cover with inserts.

Re-release of the first album by Stalingrad, a side-project of, and the more orchestral side of, Kirlian Camera. An amazing mixture of bombastic pompous orchestration, combining Neofolk elements with Neoclassical and Industrial atmospheres. Oppressive Neoclassical, utilising militant percussion and heavenly voices, though some tracks have a more industrial feel. Perhaps the soundtrack for a movie about the battle of Stalingrad? Remastered with all new artwork in a very nice digipak. Highly recommended!

Turntablist Still (Hsi-Chang Lin) unleashes a dark ambient masterpiece that borders on sonic terrorism. Created using only Technics 1200's and an array of effects pedals, 'Remains' is not a "turntablist" record in the traditional sense, but rather ambient with textures. Opening with aggressive noise and evolving into delicate ambience, 'Remains' supersedes the preconceived range of the turntable, infusing emotion into an otherwise inhuman instrument. Also includes a rather nice Super-8 film piece. This first edition of 1000 copies comes encased in a slipcase and finished with a seal.

The second album from this UK / Poland-based trio (feat. members of Splintered) offers a rich, organic and atmospheric tapestry of ideas that serve as a revitalised statement of intent. Combining sitars, violin drones, guitar strums, mutterings from an otherwise deserted midnight subway, electronic swirl, piano and all manner of otherworldly textures, 'Our Angels Dislocated' remains both focused and complex enough to cast new shadows with every listen. This highly accomplished and visionary musician has been known for his assistance with groups and artists as diverse as Coil, Spiritualized and Julian Cope as much as his own albums. Combining musique concrète, quasi-dimensional electronics, ravaged hums, atmospheric tones and all manner of different instruments nodding into focus, 'Chamber Music' is an imaginative and focused album, and his most cohesive work to date. The science fiction film "The Space Voyage" was first shown in Soviet cinema theatres in January 1936. Soviet cinematographers managed to create a surprisingly realistic image of a journey to the Moon for that time - long before the beginning of real space research. The original film had a soundtrack compiled of various classical music compositions. But what could be more appropriate to the constructivist spirit of Soviet times than the retro-futurism of St. Petersburg's noise scene classics? Vetrophonia (Nick Soudnick of ZGA and Alexander Lebedev-Frontov of Linija Mass and Stalnoy Pakt) solved this task with enthusiasm. During 2005 they laboriously collected samples, recorded the parts of electronic and acoustic instruments and composed collages for each specific scene of the film. The result turned out to be beyond all praise. The DVD-R with the movie has an option of turning on English subtitles and comes with a booklet containing an article about the shooting process.
