Four years after their homonymous debut, the Italian ensemble finally completes their second album, “Shining Silver Skies”, a work which unfolds itself as an exercise in musical bliss and purity, drenched in sweet nostalgia that flickers through memories of aching loss or rapturous passion. The Neo-Classical style that acts as a foundation to Ashram’s music is built upon with piano, soaring violin, cello, acoustic guitar and crooning vocals. An album which not only embodies the romantic backdrop of early 1900’s glamour, but that also flirts with the Folk spirit and mellow ballads.

Following a live performance at the church of St. Michele in Rovigo, Italian artists Ataraxia and Autunna Et Sa Rose release the songs especially arranged for this occasion onto CD, with one disc apiece. Autunna Et Sa Rose use some material from their first 3 albums, as well as interpretations of tracks by Ataraxia and Tuxedo Moon. Ataraxia rearranged a collection of their finest tracks in an entirely acoustic format, revisiting them in a warmer and more intimate form - as well as two previously unreleased songs and material never before issued on CD. First in a series of split 10"s released by the German sound project Licht-Ung (on their own label Punk Kein Rock). Aube's side features killer feedback material and complex noise, recorded using a Roland Analog Synth module. Licht-Ung's side (recorded under the guise of Dschim) is minimal / noisy electronics and feedback sounds. Limited to just 276 copies with old-skool photocopied cover artwork and inserts.

In 1994 Steve Pittis of Splintered started the side project Band of Pain, creating both beautiful and disturbing avant garde electronics. Since then he has released numerous records and CDs on labels like Dirter Promotions and Cold Spring Records, many of which are now rare and out of print. "Through the Past Darkly" is a double album which contains a "best of" as well as rare singles and previously unreleased recordings. All in all twenty track of dark cinematic ambience - with broad sweeps of gloomy drones set upon a muttering bed of noise and disconcerting vocals. We can't recommend this highly enough!

Grain is a very powerful and well-known symbol all over the world. It stands for life, fertility, love and renewal. Its spiritual strength is very present in Christianity and Paganism. Despite different beliefs, two great Neofolk acts - German Belborn and Italian Rose Rovine E Amanti are united in idea of grain. Something new has arisen. A split of 13 rare, unpublished and brand new tracks with over 54 minutes of outstanding music. These are the last recordings of Belborn before the project finished in April 2006. Presented in a nice matt digipak.

Dark Ambient project by a member of Ukrainian BM act HATE FOREST. “From the breath of the Black Plague to the art of the Middle Ages, through to alchemy and the rise and fall of empires, each track sucks you into a bleak corner of European history.” Great melancholic Dark Ambient outings mixed with apocalyptic Black Ambient and semi-Neoclassical / Medieval workings. Ltd x 350 copies with completely different artwork to the CD version.

Divine Coils is the alter-ego of our favourite up-and-coming noise heroes Holiday Stabbings. Recorded live at the Wheatsheaf, Oxford, April 2006. A continuous wall of sound, using chants, guitars, cymbals, turntable, tapes, vocals etc. Recorded by Ryan Quarterman, and clocks in at just under 30 minutes. Should mention that the covers are all nice and hand-painted. On homemade CDR in standard PVC slip and very limited (we have the last copies).

Another great release from this Holiday Stabbings side-project, this time recorded live at the Port Mahon, Oxford, March 2006. Not at all noise per se like the main project, but utilising feedback, loops, metals and drums not unlike Z`EV or even early Zoviet France. A single 25 minute track on a very limited homemade CDR, only 30 and we have the last copies. Comes in a standard PVC slip.

Belgian act Encryption return with an enchanting ethereal and Dark Ambient album, filled with heavenly female vocals. The Legend of the secret society of Ordo Libidis put to music. A dark tale from the times of burning witches during the Inquisition, rituals, the Occult and magick. Those into Arcana, early Mortiis or yet darker ambient atmospheres, with a touch of medieval music and a slight addition of neo-classical ingredients, can't go wrong with this CD. Presented in a nice digipak.

RESTOCK! Irmos 1-9 in sequence is of great importance for the perception of the of music. This resembles a horror-documentary soundtrack redefining one's dark vision of the world intoxicated by deceit, illusions, and errors. Consistently dark and deeply disturbing chants grow up from distorted references to hymns and raise up everything to the level of apocalypse. Here, the ceremony is no more a source from which the author draws his inspiration but an act provoking him to create a stunning alternative and send this painful challenge to the tempting and rupturing dogma. . A beautiful piece with hand-made cardboard packaging. Russian import. Limited to 350 copies.

The second collaborative album from audio sculptors John Duncan and Carl Michael Von Hausswolff. A bold, expressive piece of sound art, confident in its multiplicity of perspectives caught in a constant flux of attraction and repulsion. Performed with shortwave, data streams, uncanny use of the human voice, oscillators, sonar, and wire tapping microphones. The recording comes with a 40 page booklet with an interview between Duncan and Hausswolff about their histories, ideas, and methodologies. Furthermore, the packaging is completed with a braille embossed cover slip. Heavy, quality piece.

Excellent collaboration between M.S. Waldron (irr. app. (ext.)), Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound), Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson (Stilluppsteypa), Jim Haynes and R.K. Faulhaber. An epiphany of controlled disorder, a convulsion of beauty, a cascade of thought from delirious minds, “The Sleeping Moustache” is an exquisite manifestation of sound poetry scattered into a tortuous collage mired in an oblique melancholy. A psychically instable landscape, where dreams and nightmares wreak havoc upon the drudgery of daily life. The closest audible territory for “The Sleeping Moustache” might be the psychoactive constructions of Nurse With Wound's “Homotopy To Marie”, although the characters in this drama happened upon an entirely different map of that terrain. This first edition features five letterpress prints from each of the artists in an edition of 1700.

‘Pure-Skin’ is the first full length CD release from Navicon Torture Technologies since 2004's ‘The Arrow and the Wound’ and compiles a slew of limited CDR releases and new, unreleased material. Manufactured with infected prayers to demented love, hysterical reflections on obsessive lust, and psychotic meanderings of loss and recrimination, ‘Pure-Skin’ is constructed from the same decrepit DNA as previous NTT offerings, but with a new focus and purpose. Power Romance Prevails. The CD is packaged in a four panel digipak with stunning artwork. Limited to 300 copies with postcard. First few come with a very nice sticker. Act fast on this one!

Composed between 2000-2005, the musick could be described as 'industrial', mostly because it pays homage to the early Industrial groups such as Throbbing Gristle, Coil or Psychic TV by being a wide-ranged beast of experimentation including some nice deep dark ambient soundscapes. Escape from Heaven also carries a loose storyline that can be interpreted in occult, mythological, social and personal levels. Basically the album is a Manifesto of personal Liberation and a declaration of war against all forces of boredom and stagnation.

The return of a true legend of industrial music! Probably one of the purest and most refined recordings from Nigel Ayers as Nocturnal Emissions, these seven suites find sacred atavistic rituals, Celtic resonances and natural hypnotic mantras, which bring the listener through an aural journey to the true roots of sound. The first part of the album can be compared to his masterpieces "Stoneface" or "Spiritflesh", which are more ethereal and atmospheric with beautiful natural sounds. With a limited release on War Office Propaganda last year, many of you will know what quality to expect! “MM-MMV” offers fine neoclassical/dark orchestral music, while infusing ethnic and industrial sounds. Also incorporated are self-produced samples and acoustic instruments. An album very much in the vein of bands such as In Slaughter Natives or Raison D'Etre.
