Aqua Dorsa is a new Italian ambient project formed by Enrico Coniglio and Oöphoi. Their first work “Cloudlands” is a perfect mix of glitch, classical and orchestral glacial ambient soundscapes. Enrico Coniglio is a guitar player and composer, with releases on Touch, Crónica and Psychonavigation Records. Gianluigi Gasparetti (Oöphoi) started his own music experiments in 1995, trying to explore the shores of deep space-ambient. Clausthome is a project of the Latvian band Claustrum. "Radiophare" brings the listener first class radio-noise in a vein of Bad Sector, Arecibo or SETI/Lagowski. This material was gathered during two years using radio wave scanning, data gathered by radio telescopes and archives of universe research data servers. It was a sound analysis experiment, where material and after-processing of both Earth and cosmic authentic static radiation were used, applying different sound alteration programs and sampling methods, as well as sound synthesis creating music environment. The CD also contains 3 videos made by members of Clausthome. The release comes in a silver-print gatefold digisleeve with an insert and is limited to 500 copies.

By 1974 psychedelia's first wave may have been on the wane, but in the garage at the Source Family's commune in California, they could not have cared less. Another amazing long-player from Father Yod's vaults, "I'm Gonna Take You Home", finds his house band, the Ya Ho Wha 13, in splendidly miasmic form improvising their way through deeply lysergic side trips that merit comparison with anything in the Can or Amon Duul catalogues.
With artwork that depicts the Zeus-bearded Father Yod posing as various Tarot card icons with naked lovers, the album works both as an outrageously Aquarian time capsule and as enduring and unfettered guitar psych. This album was not released during the active years of the band, but first saw the light of public day in 2005, remastered from an old cassette. Yahowha 13 created this album in a Corte Madera warehouse, just after their return from what is described as an Easter Resurrection in the Great Pyramid in Egypt. The blazing guitar rave-up/ragas, the pounding drum breakdowns, the excursions into semi abstraction which are the heart of the Yahowha 13 sound are still in effect, but here they are immersed in vortex of echo and noise. Warriors for psychic revolution, psychedelic rock adepts - one of a kind scene. Within a few months of this recording Yahowha was killed in a hang gliding accident.

and features tracks from the very beginning to the very

the very rare version of 'Black Radio' known as 'Some
Of Our Best Friends Live In South America', plus a recently

'Dark Rivers is about a particular area in the North of England which stretches from the Solway Firth into the wastelands of the Northumbrian borders. This area is steeped in history and mystery. In particular, I have focused on the development of Britain's Cold War intercontinental ballistic missile weaponry in the late forties and fifties and which later became the center for Britain's space efforts... Many of the place names reflect the ancient cultural beliefs and superstitions - Black Fell, Black Beck, etc. Even today the place is wild and remote and old superstitions live on. The conflict of the ancient superstitions and the cold war paranoia is essentially what this is about. The older superstitions swallowing whole the newer age which came and went on the same dark, brooding hills. This time Russian folk singer Tatyana “Toloka” Stepchenko recorded some songs for Rapoon a capella and allowed him to pull apart, re-arrange, cut-up and re-sample her voice into the sounds and arrangements on this album. The result is a very delicate and enlightened work, it is a kind of a sonic travel through clean and vast spaces of Russian North to find some ancient and ancestral recollections, made using typical Rapoon sound tools, the great and unique voice of Toloka and some very fresh and clear ambient tunes. Sol Invictus’s first outing on Dark Vinyl is a nod back in the direction to a more earthy folk sound. Taken from Russian folklore the title track "Steeds For The Devil" concerns suicide, while there are the usual happy Tony Wakeford songs. Two traditional songs get the Sol Invictus treatment - "Twa Corbies" and "Three Knights Came from the West". Philip Larkin’s poem "The North Ship" also becomes the basis for one song.
