The vocals are minimal, a hushed whisper here and there, a Viking style chant during one song, but it's mostly left to the music, which is incredibly evocative, it's like some sort of acoustic black metal, mixed with slowed down surf rock, dark languorous krautrock, and a distinct Morricone vibe too. Originally released in 2003 by Fight Muzik. This reissued album is available for the first time in the full 3CD version. A true monument and a masterpiece of ritual-shamanic drone ambient music. The album is devoted to the mysterious death of nine professional hikers on the Holat-Sjahl slope (Mansi for "Mountain of dead") on 1st February 1959. Investigations into the deaths suggest that the hikers tore open their tent from within, departing barefoot in heavy snow; while the corpses show no signs of struggle, two victims had fractured skulls, two had broken ribs, and one was missing her tongue. According to sources, the victims' clothing contained high levels of radiation, but no one from group worked with radioactive objects. Soviet investigators determined only that "a compelling unknown force" had caused the deaths. Velehentor will take you on a sonic journey through the infinite, dangerous and remote Snow-covered Northern Ural Mountains. The 2nd disc is a collaboration with Ad Lux Tenebrae. Viridian Sun is a duo focusing on abstract improvisation, featuring Hypnos founder Mike Griffin, and Hypnos solo artist David Tollefson. Their last studio album "Perihelion" was released a full decade ago on Hypnos, though VS continued to record together and occasionally perform live. The new album "Infinite In All Directions" moves into slightly different sonic material, downplaying synthesizer electronics in favour of guitar and bass guitar, electronically treated and looped. Side-project of Loki Foundation act PREDOMINANCE. "The main intention of Virologic is the creation of sounds out of computer data. Different types of computer files have been cracked in a sampling software that transforms any kind of files into raw sound. It is possible to analyse the different structures of any type of data as a potential source visible as graphic waveform. ... With implicit aesthetics of failure the structure of the original file is destroyed to its core and reflecting the meta-phorical bug on its way through the hard drive." VLADIMIR HIRSCH - 'Symphony No. 4 - Descent From The Cross' CD (Ars Benevola Mater)
A thematic opus, inspired originally by Dostoevski's interpretation of Hans Holbein's painting of same name. It is a polemic with his questioning of the Christian faith in Christ's resurrection, since the level of cogency in portraying a truly dead body is strikingly exposed in the works of the German artist. Also because of this the symphony may be understood as a sort of filling of the gap between Christ's death and laying into the grave, i.e. the process, which is not given much space in the bible. The author is trying to create a deeply immersed, painful perception here, dominated by uncertainty and doubt, but through the belief in spiritual strength inclined to hope and strife for the fulfilling of the faith's thesis. In expressive terms the work combines expressive means ranging from symphonic to noise, in a totality which up to now represents the author's concept of the so-called integrated musical form the best. The German ritual drone project Vortex (aka :Golgatha:) is dedicated to the British art movement of Vorticism of the early 20th Century (1913-1920). Founded as an own vision of Futurism by Wyndham Lewis and expressed in the legendary magazine Blast (1914) Vorticism defined the artist as someone gaining creative power and inspiration out of the chaotic vortex of creative energy. The name was introduced by the Vorticist protagonist Ezra Pound who also coined the phrase 'phanopoeia': the idea of creating poetry for all senses. The music of Vortex pays audiovisual homage to the great Vorticist art. Psychedelic drones, ritual drums, processed sounds, glimpses of acoustic harmony, and original sound documents are blended to grant a holistic sensory experience. Vortex transcends the limits of dark ambient soundtracks on a quest for the unknown.

CD reissue of Voxus Imp's 1998 LP. In classical Icelandic literature, 'Idafeld' is the symbol of the everlasting. At this place of renewal, the guiltless gods unite to strive towards Ragnarok (the twilight of the gods) once more. This 'ritual music' by Voxus Imp is largely purely electronic, but with a pleasant organic feel to it and sometimes nearly danceable rhythms. Vresnit is solo project of the man behind the Kerpg label. A vibrating flow of crudely woven Shamanic Drone Ambient atmospheres. Spanish act Vril, headed by Paco Rodriguez, makes a lot of deep experimental electronics based Noise with a bitter blend of industrialism and ambient. A great album full of high frequencies sustained on a solid floor of harsh bass. "From everything pure until the most gross form of substance, everything is in vibration". 7 audio documents and an hour of truly analogue high voltage noise. Adorned with amazing artwork by Alonso Urbanos.
