(2003) Debut release by this new computer music artist from Hamburg, Germany. An exciting mixture of dark, slowly evolving drones, beautifully distorted melodies which have been compared to early Fennesz, Pimmon and the like, obscure hard rock sampling meets raw data manipulation sounding like Earth jamming with Merzbow, digital noise and computer improvisations. A beautiful and disturbing record! Clear Vinyl. Ltd x 250. Dekorder label is also known for releasing The Hafler Trio, John Hegre etc.
(2004) Hyper destructive low-end violence from two of the US underground's most ferocious hate-sludge outfits. A dual assault from feedback-warriors Burmese and battle-sludge titans Fistula. Burmese annihilate everything before them with a lethal blast of low frequency skree tantrums, cough-syrup drenched blastbeats, Whitehouse-worshipping noise and demonic free improvised violence. Think Khanate, Earth and Merzbow in an earth shattering, widow-making basement death match. Ohio 's Fistula batter up with mega heavy sludge, blistering blackened thrash, diseased rock, and some incredibly infectious riffs . Burmese burn you down... Fistula pisses all over the ashes.
ENEMA SYRINGE - 'Ins Gefangnis Geworfene Blind Sklaven' CD (Mondo)
(1999) Extremely rare and obscure CD from 1999. Swedish Grindcore band Enema Syringe offer an intense and somewhat confusing CD, interspersed with 'special guests' of the extreme / harsh Japanese Noise genre: Merzbow, Masonna, Painjerk and Incapacitants. A very collectable piece. Few copies in stock, all shrinkwrapped. ACT FAST!

GERRITT & JOHN WIESE - 'The Disappearing Act EP' MCD (Misanthropic Agenda)
(2006) It's Wiese - brace yourself. This 20 minute EP sees the noise maverick working with Misanthropic Agenda label boss Gerritt, hardly a shrinking violet himself, having gone head to head with Merzbow, D Yellow Swans and Sunn O))) in the past. 'The Disappearing Act EP' starts out with two short, sharp shocks of mashed-up sound, sudden jolts of electricity and the worrying rush of what sounds like toxic gas escaping from a canister. The final track is one 15 minute fade up of unbearably caustic jet engine whine. It'll have you pinned back in your armchair while your face gets pummelled by its horribly intense power. Digipak.
GOVERNMENT ALPHA - 'Spontaneous Combustion' CD (L-White Records)
(2006) "Spontaneous Combustion" does nothing but re-enforce Government Alpha's status as one of the supreme extreme Noise artists ever to emerge from Japan. 50 minutes full of extreme, harsh noise and ultra heavy, destructive, torturing, electronic powernoise for followers of Masonna, harsh Merzbow etc. A brutal album with piercing frequencies and no let-up over the course of the 10 tracks. Ltd x 300 copies in an A5 gatefold sleeve.
JAZKAMER / SANDBLEISTIFT - 'Split' 10" (Punk Kein Rock)
(2007) 4th part of Licht-Ung's 10" split series, this time Milan Sandbleistift (aka Johannes Elbert of Licht-Ung) meets with Norwegian duo Jazkamer. Sandbleistift pummel the listener from the outset with junk noise ala Wolf Eyes, while the B-Side sees Jazkamer build a layered, spasmodic noisefest, with just enough piercing electronics to make an uncomfortable listen. LE DEPEUPLEUR - 'Disambiguation' CD (Auf Abwegen)
Third CD by this project of LE DÉPEUPLEUR (Zbigniew Karkowski and Kasper T Toeplitz). Both musicians use computers, and create electronic sounds - no samples, no found sounds - all pure electronic. Both names are known in Noise circles for their collaborations with artists such as Merzbow, Tetsuo Furudate, C.C.C.C. or Francisco Lopez, to name a few. 'Disambiguation' features on ongoing stream of grey, heavy and disturbing noises, with blocks of solid and almost material sounds and an urgency to the music. Ltd x 500 copies in a card slip case.

MERZBOW - 'Anicca' CD (Cold Spring CSR107CD)
The first track on Merzbow's latest opus was recorded at Tin Pan Alley studios, London, on 20th April 2008 - the day after his momentous performance at ULU. Akita created an astounding and very unique 20-minute track, playing freestyle drums over his trademark noise. The final 2 tracks were created at Munemi House in Tokyo. Another fine example of why Merzbow is the undisputed King of Japanese Noise! 58 minutes in total.
MERZBOW - 'Batztoutai With Material Gadgets' 2 x CD (RRRecords)
4th (?) pressing of this double disc, originally released in a plastic box in 1993. Classic analogue noise from THE master of Japanese Noise. Subtitled "De-Composed Works 1985-86", this is a remixed version of an earlier release of these recordings, with a second disc of cut-ups from various records. Very similar to early period (79-85) Merzbow. This edition comes in the regular RRR stickered sleeve with cut & paste artwork.

MERZBOW - 'Metamorphism' CD (Very Friendly)
"Metamorphism" is a powerfully emotional, violently painful, and strangely ambient work - ungodly deep and loud pulses, around which is wrapped all sorts of whistling and buzzing. There is also abstract guitar strumming throughout chaotic sheets of static and ear-splitting metallic scrapes overwhelming the carefully constructed rhythm. Pocket-friendly reissue of the legendary marble box, in a slimline jewel case. Ltd x 500.

MERZBOW - 'Peace For Animals' CD (Quasi Pop)
Three long pieces from Akira, full of ice-breaking analogue feedback over dense overdriven textures, pulsing rhythmic background elements and rollercoaster LFO spasms of analogue synth. This is the shining example of the modern “post-analogue-post-laptop era” sound of Merzbow. These compositions are wild at heart, as wild nature is. This hour-long CD is dedicated to wildlife and calls to fight for the animals rights. "Don't send animals to war! Meat is murder! Fur is murder! Peace for Animals!" 2nd edition of this 1995 album. PAIN JERK / JOHN WIESE - 'Terrazzo' CD (Harbinger Sound)
"Classic ultra-fucked electrified noise barrage that seems to reflect more on the early-90s pornographic Merzbow sound et al than anything currently beating its head against a rock. Just chaos blurts of white noise catharsis cut up with quizzical gloops down the plughole where you feel like a cartoon roadrunner, still peddling in mid-air while rainbows explode into shards of glass and crystal. A fantastic blast of old school noise from these old school boize: John Wiese (Bastard Noise) and Kohei Gomi aka Pain Jerk. Recorded by mail October 2005" [Volcanic Tongue]. Ltd x 1000 copies.
A tasteful combination of improvised thrash noise / metal by Pymathon (Topias Tiheäsalo and Jaakko Tolvi - the former known for his collaboration with RLW and solo CD, the latter for banging drums in Rauhan Orkesteri) and harsh noise-driven free jazz (not dissimilar to Merzbow in places) by Gentle Evil (Janne Tuomi and Tommi Keränen - the former known for a solo CD and percussion for Circle, the latter for being the other half of Testicle Hazard). Three tracks from Pymathon and a single, long track from Gentle Evil. "Both kick ass, crush skulls and are loud enough to demolish buildings". A solid improv guitar rant for those of a sturdy disposition! Finnish import.
RICHARD PINHAS / MERZBOW - 'Keio Line' 3 x LP (Dirter Promotions)
An incredible collaboration that sweeps across the generations of electronic music. Richard Pinhas is internationally recognised as one of France's major experimental musicians: the "father" of French electronic music. He was the founder of Heldon, a band whose violent fusion of electronics and guitar in the '70s rivalled the German electronic school. Merzbow is the forerunner of Japanese electronic music, and for the last 20 years plus, has been at the top of his game ploughing more and more extreme sonic territories. This release will surprise a lot of people in its sheer beauty. This is a collaboration that works in the true sense of the word, with each artist complimenting the other over six long sprawling tracks each occupying the whole of a side. Housed in a gloss laminate sleeve and limited to just 1000 copies.

SCRELOMA - 'Dirt' CD (Three Plugs Records)
Debut album from Jun-ichi Takahashi's noise project. "Dirt is six tracks and 40+ minutes of an amalgamation of power electronics and rhythmic noise that wouldn’t be out of place on the Ant Zen record label. Comparisons to P.A.L, Hypnoskull and Converter spring readily to mind… with a little touch of Dissecting Table and Merzbow thrown in for good measure… all wrapped up in typical Japanese brutality and originality... VA - 'Epitaph For John' CD (Korm Plastics)
Compilation with Asmus Tietchens, RLW (Ralf Wehowsky), Merzbow, Freiband (Frans De Waard) and John Watermann. "On April 2nd 2002 John Watermann died suddenly of an infection resulting from his ongoing treatment for cancer. Having in the final year of his life returned to artistic pursuits, he still had vast plans for future projects. Among these unfulfilled projects were plans to collaborate with Frans de Waard on a new release. Although only preliminary discussions on the collaboration took place and Watermann never completed any work towards the project, Watermann's source material that was to be the basis of the work now serves as a basis for this tribute release. This release serves as a record of Watermann and his influence, documenting the respect he reserved from his peers and, hopefully, introducing his work to a new audience."
