After channeling all his musical energy into Beyond Sensory Experience for the past two years, K. Meizter finally returns with a new solo exertion. Spawned during the sinister last months of a northern year, Tetraphobia scans through the kafkaesque layers of human anxiety, and continues K. Meizter’s distinctive manipulation of sound, melody and pulse. Following 2 previous solo albums K. Meizter’s new release develops even more unsettling atmospheres of reflection and alteration. With 10 tracks and over an hour of foreboding avant-garde, "Tetraphobia" is K. Meizter’s most convincing work thus far. Dark and solemn.
K. MEIZTER - 'Travelling Light' CD (Horus Cyclic Daemon)
Solo outing for BEYOND SENSORY EXPERIENCE main-main K. Meizter. "Travelling Light" still lurks within the realms of dark ambient, but breaks new ground for experimental areas focusing primarily on melancholy melodies and twisted rhythms. "Travelling Light" takes the listener on an intriguing journey through the universe of the mind, coming further enhanced with elegant and thought-provoking artwork. This deluxe limited edition comes presented as 500 numbered copies housed in a special A5 sized embossed folder with booklet. Mastered by M Goedrijk (This Morn' Omina).

K11 & PHILIPPE PETIT - 'The Haunting Triptych' CD (Boring Machines)
The Haunting Triptych is a collaboration between K11 (aka Pietro Ribarbelli) and Philippe Petit. A haunted Drone, Electro-acoustic, Dark ambient soundtrack, giving an impression that some ghosts are lurking around… dragging listeners inside a world full of malevolent creatures. Three long drones full, not unlike some works of Lustmord or Nurse With Wound, the sound is heavy and claustrophobic and the downward spiral brings you to the final end, where the last sound you hear before losing your senses is the beast eating your flesh. Over 45mins of music in a spot-varnished ecosleeve.
K11 - 'Metaphonic Portrait 1230 A.D.' Enhanced CD (Actual Noise)
K11 is the nom de plume of the Italian sound artist Pietro Riparbelli. For "Metaphonic Portrait 1230 A.D.", Riparbelli entered Assisi Cathedral (completed in 1230 A.D.) in the Umbria region of Italy, not far from Riparelli’s hometown of Tuscany. The audio was recorded in the cathedral’s lower basilica, the oldest area, where the relics of St. Francis Of Assisi reside. Utilising short-wave radio as his primary instrument Riparbelli has captured a haunting array of cavernous sounds, displaced signals and found ambiance. With the addition of some voice and organ elements, "Metaphonic Portrait 1230 A.D." sounds not unlike the recordings of Philip Jeck and William Basinski under the influence of Crowleyean Magick and Sacred Geometry. A video shot inside the cathedral by Riparbelli is included on the disc to give the listener a visual picture of the aging structure. As in all K11’s work, the themes of magick, religion, numerology and esotericism are present throughout this reverent document of aural mysticism. Digipak.
K11 is Pietro Riparbelli. The sound sources for this album were recorded at the enchanting park of Monsters of Bomarzo. The park of Monsters of Bomarzo was devised by the architect Pirro Ligorio (he completed the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Rome after the death of Michelangelo and built Villa d'Este in Tivoli) on commission of Prince Pier Francesco Orsini, called Vicino, only to vent the heart broken at the death of is wife Giulia Farnese. The park was created in 1552 as "Villa of Wonders" to be the only one of it's kind in the world. Incredible but true, the Park of Monsters remained in complete oblivion till 1954 and only few people was aware about all the fantastic treasures contained within the park for over 400 years ! K11 recorded the soul of this park of Monsters and Wonders and after re-working the sounds he delivers us a trip between reality and dream. Psychedelic, ritual ambient music from an other space, from an other era, from an other land.
K11 - 'Voices From Thelema' Enhanced CD (Aurora Borealis)
"Voices From Thelema" is an action of instrumental transcommunication with short wave receivers. It was realised inside the ruins of Thelema Abbey, Cefalù, Sicily - founded by Aleister Crowley in 1920. K11 is a project of Italian sound / installation artist Pietro Riparbelli that deals with the world of radio signals, trans-communication and other invisible phenomena, to create a dimension where the only sound sources are signals from shortwave radio receivers. Deluxe digipak with 32 page booklet featuring photographs from the recording process at Thelema Abbey. Also features a short film shot on location at the Abbey.

Apocalyptic doom noise from Israel. “Molested into Form” is the soundtrack to accompany our species’ inevitable (and, some would say, welcome) demise. Kallabris is the 'electro-acoustic chamber music' project of German sound artist Michael Anacker, active since 1986. "Hund Vor Die Tür" focuses on "the significance of dogs", but his main interest is a reflection on the electro-mechanical conditions of sound recording presented in everyday recording devices such as home computers, dictaphones and answering machines... he is not interested in the limits of musical styles but in the limitations of sound (re)production. "...a vocoder voice that recites some lines every now and then... is embedded in a warm bath of computerized drones... plucked acoustic guitar and even a hot steamy rhythm... a great record of a mythical band with great sound, hovering the experiment and the pop notion of folktronics." KALLABRIS - 'Music For Very Simple Objects' 10" (Substantia Innominata / Drone Records)
Maybe the most mysterious and thought-provoking German experimental project with recordings derived from field recordings so bizarre it's difficult to find any words for it! This work features very short sequences of concrete sounds, arranged in a structural and temporal way that the "known reality" is placed in a new frame and context, thus making it possible that the world behind may become "visible" through our acoustic senses. What is usually familiar is suspended in order to make new experiences. The acoustic elements have been configured in a certain causal formation which is not consciously perceivable within the phenomenal order. The phenomenon hides the principle & substance of the sound-pieces. Limited to 500 copies on fluorescent green coloured vinyl, with a full colour sleeve designed by Andreas Mal Hoeschen.

KAULA - 'Avadhuta Gita Chapter I' CD (Doomentia)
Kaula's debut is the vision of one Pietro Riparbelli (K11), an Italian artist who not only composed and recorded the whole thing, but also designed its cryptic booklet and contributed with organs, medianic chants, field recordings and radio signals. Kaula is a whole different beast to K11. What could be seen at first glance at some kind of weird black-metal outburst - including rasping vocals courtesy of Rosy from old-school death-metal warriors Profanal and buzzsaw guitars - soon makes sure all rules go out the window by using various metal (doom, thrash) and non-metal (noise industrial) elements and create a sonic black hole. All lyrics are based here on ancient text called ‘Avadhuta Gita’, said to have been originally written in the IXth century. As a result, all seven tracks have been named after it and are basically about attaining a spiritual state “equivalent to the existence of god”. Mastered by Mell Dettmer (SunnO))), Earth). KEITH ROWE & OREN AMBARCHI - 'Flypaper' CD (Staubgold)
These recordings depart wildly from anything that either Rowe or Ambarchi have produced before. This speaks volumes when you consider the combined weight of their explorations to this point. Amazingly, neither player falls back on past gestures or comfortable proven techniques. The result is four startling electro-acoustic environments. Only David Tudor's "Rainforest" has gone so far to create a world that is at once highly electronic, yet totally organic, without resorting to base mimicry of natural sounds. It evokes the sea, an immovable mass of fluidity, in a way that Roland Kayn would admire. But having said that, there is little to compare this to. KIRCHENKAMPF - 'Babel' 2 x CD (Diophantine Discs)
"Babel" is an extremely dynamic and dense work that could generally be classified as experimental dark ambient. The theme here is the Tower of Babel and each disc takes a somewhat different yet complimentary approach: the first ("Red Babylon") is generally a rather heavy and intense recording, while the second ("Citadel of the Nevermind") is more droney and dream-like. KK NULL - 'Outer Bounds Of Sound' LP (Noiseville)
KK Null is one of Japan's finest, and most admired experimental music composers ever. This album is loud, abrasive and out there, and it is just what you'd hoped it would sound like. He is able to sculpt noise like clay into an image as equally dark as light, artistic and savage, submissive and dominant, the most sublime of the most painful of art. This is uneasy listening, to the max. "Outer Bounds Of Sound" is an experimental LP series from Noiseville. Each release is pressed in an edition of just 300 copies with a hand-made cover. KK NULL / JOHN WIESE - 'Mondo Paradoxa' CD (Auf Abwegen)
Constructed over the period of two years via mail collaboration this is a great and forceful collaboration between two artists that each have made a name for themselves with their unique approach to making sound. KK NULL is a master of feedback studies, working with looped scenarios to create dense and vital sound units. He is also the leading force behind proto-metal-group Zeni Geva and the dark-industrial project Absolut Null Punkt. John Wiese creates fragile but very erruptive lo-fi noise rumblings with an almost poetic touch. He has a musical past in the group Bastard Noise. Needless to say, both artists combine the best of both worlds in this crunching release! Comes in beautiful full cover digipak, designed by Government Alpha, with typesetting by John Wiese.

KLINIKAL SKUM - 'Chosen Powerless' CD (Expectorant Recordings)
Rabid paranoia placed under the restraint of heavy medication. The withdrawn sounds of a ruined mind, slowly marching towards the imminent end. Is the objective to reintegrate or assimilate? Included here are five treatments involving a decisive pathology of analogue synthesizer and corroded electronic devices, simultaneously subdued and unsettling in their inflicted balance of tone and texture. Patient development leads to gradual debilitation, providing deep results. KNIFELADDER - 'Music/Concrete' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
KnifeLadder have been in existence in one form or another since 1998. Their sound is the culmination of years of experimentation and independent development. The resultant sound is a heavily percussive industrial organic hybrid, a new meshing of electronic loops, live bass and percussion and ethnic instrumentation to form a kind of Organic Industrial Music. "Music/Concrete" is a unique mix of hi-tec and lo-fi sounds, authoritative drums courtesy of John Murphy, and distorted obscure instruments. With shuddering machine loops overlaid with frenetic metal percussion, power ambient soundscapes melting into epic defiant anthems, "Music/Concrete" uses traditional hand played electronics and instrumentation to realise a thoroughly contemporary vision of rebirth and decay. 46th (!!) album from prolific Japanese artist Koji Asano, recorded in 2011. Asano offers two lengthy tracks (weighing in at 67mintes), built on a single sound or two, with more warmth that the title would suggest. "Polar Parliament" is haunting and focused, a meditative and metallic drone. Asano knows his way around tones and silences, and the harmony between them. Human imagination, time, as well as the tonal event itself are the elements for the listener to form an individual audio-sculpture and to let it develop in their heads. "Evil Walks" is the most focused work yet from this utterly demented Texas outfit that started out in the mid 90s as a pure noise project but gradually evolved into this weird, lumbering black-dirge that we hear now. Thumping minimal drum-machine, droning dissonant riffs that veer from hypnotic noise to dismal quasi-black metal buzz, narcoleptic croaking and malevolent sneer bathed in reverb, the distant sad howling of wolves and ear-piercing screams drift across the background.
