The enigmatic scientist K. Meizter (Beyond Sensory Experience) has left his murky laboratory to release "Dark Matters", a dark puzzle piece to his debut solo album "Travelling Light". K. Meizter's new album is a strong musickal reaction of dark ambient soundscapes with subtle and sinister melodies, catalyzed by pounding rhythms and distorted experimental electronics. "Dark Matters" comes in a stylish B&W digipak.
After channeling all his musical energy into Beyond Sensory Experience for the past two years, K. Meizter finally returns with a new solo exertion. Spawned during the sinister last months of a northern year, Tetraphobia scans through the kafkaesque layers of human anxiety, and continues K. Meizter’s distinctive manipulation of sound, melody and pulse. Following 2 previous solo albums K. Meizter’s new release develops even more unsettling atmospheres of reflection and alteration. With 10 tracks and over an hour of foreboding avant-garde, "Tetraphobia" is K. Meizter’s most convincing work thus far. Dark and solemn.
K. MEIZTER - 'Travelling Light' CD (Horus Cyclic Daemon)
Solo outing for BEYOND SENSORY EXPERIENCE main-main K. Meizter. "Travelling Light" still lurks within the realms of dark ambient, but breaks new ground for experimental areas focusing primarily on melancholy melodies and twisted rhythms. "Travelling Light" takes the listener on an intriguing journey through the universe of the mind, coming further enhanced with elegant and thought-provoking artwork. This deluxe limited edition comes presented as 500 numbered copies housed in a special A5 sized embossed folder with booklet. Mastered by M Goedrijk (This Morn' Omina).

KEITH ROWE & OREN AMBARCHI - 'Flypaper' CD (Staubgold)
These recordings depart wildly from anything that either Rowe or Ambarchi have produced before. This speaks volumes when you consider the combined weight of their explorations to this point. Amazingly, neither player falls back on past gestures or comfortable proven techniques. The result is four startling electro-acoustic environments. Only David Tudor's "Rainforest" has gone so far to create a world that is at once highly electronic, yet totally organic, without resorting to base mimicry of natural sounds. It evokes the sea, an immovable mass of fluidity, in a way that Roland Kayn would admire. But having said that, there is little to compare this to. KISS THE ANUS OF A BLACK CAT - 'The Nebulous Dreams' CD (Conspiracy Records)
Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat has always been utterly fascinated with primitive savagery and heathen tactics. On this third full length endeavor, they explore and recast their horror-filled doom theme in the light of current debates on modernity and globalization. Minimalist instrumentation and hypnotic ultra dramatic vocals are wrapped in equal parts doom ridden heresy, the percussion is stripped down off hazy emotions and stretched into a pure vessel of magical strength, where a muted buzz deliberately enforces mental overload. A divine doom folk/rock cloud that shares apocalyptic interests with such visionaries as Current 93, Woven Hand, Richard Youngs, Comus and other uplifting pagan psych-folk. Digifie.
During the 80s, Kiyoshi Mizutani was a member of Merzbow with Masami Akita, beginning his solo work in 1989. Mizutani's sound is characterised by use of primitive electric feedback and field recordings. Soundscape theory is integral to his work. Kiyoharu Kuwayama began working with sound in the late 1980s, using half-scale violin and contact mic, daily junk and found objects. In 1999 he started improvised acoustic duo Kuwayama-Kijima. Hideaki Shimada is a Japanese violinist. In the late 70s he became interested in the European improvised music scene. Since 1980, he has been involved in violin improvisation. In 1985, he started solo project, Agencement. His solowork has been described as both noise and music, avantgarde and minimalist, nervous and mellow, frantic and still, hectic and calm. Recorded at Gambetta, Tokyo in 2001.
Japanese experimental music legend KK Null tests his own limits onto the darkness and focuses all his artistic skills on creating a personal cinematic audio nightmare. "Akumu" is like being caught in a spider web that sticks and creps to your skin, there is no escape... "Akumu" is a truly imaginative and terrifying electronic album that gives us a new and unique edge on sound master Kazuyuki Kishinos' universe. A dark masterpiece! Comes in a superb 6-panel digipak with artwork by Salt (Ant-Zen).
"The album opens up with the sound of insects & birds which i recorded live at wetland in Kakadu National park in Australia, that symbolizes organic life / organism (including our human bodies) composed of baryons. then, abstract electronic noise overlaps them and takes you into a journey through deep inner and far outer spaces at any scales. However, you don't have to care about what i say here, just i hope this music inspires you as much as it does myself, and enjoy with your open mind and free imagination!!" (Kazuyuki Kishino). KK NULL - 'Prime Radiant' CD (Blossoming Noise)
"Prime Radiant' is noise as a spray of blood-red roses, a vast wash of colour concealing six inch thorns. Kazuyuki Kishino has been at the forefront of the Japanese noise scene for over 20 years, both as guitarist/leader of extremist sludge rockers Zeni Geva and as a solo artist exploring the outer territories of electronica. Along with Masonna and Merzbow, he is part of a trinity of noisemakers whose work seems to operate at the very limits of human endurance. Like theirs, Null's work transcends its surface violence and reveals something rich and strange at its core. What makes this montage of live and studio work marginally less forbidding than usual is its abrupt change of mood and texture; rather than pummelling an idea into the dust, he covers a lot of sonic ground here, albeit a terrain of savagely blasted extremes. Kishino has said that he tries to imagine through his work what music from other galaxies might sound like. If the little green men are all listening to this stuff for fun, 'Prime Radiant' is a scary prospect for sure" (The Wire). Card sleeve

With shuddering machine loops overlaid with frenetic metal percussion, power ambient soundscapes melting into epic defiant anthems, "Music/Concrete" uses traditional hand played electronics and instrumentation to realise a thoroughly contemporary vision of rebirth and decay. KNIFELADDER - 'Organic Traces' CD (Operative Records)
"Organic Traces" is the first full length release by London act KnifeLadder and features percussion by John Murphy (Death In June, SPK etc), bass and electronics by Hunter Barr (AntiValium), vocals and electronics from Andrew Trail (Inertia, AntiValium), and a guest appearance on one track by Andrew King. A rare and exemplary example of tribal industrial, spewing forth as much earth born fire and dripping with the same salty burn of sweat and blood as other seminal acts from the genre, yet endowed a sense of here and now that keeps it contemporary and vital.
"The Spectacle" is the follow up to the monumental "Organic Traces" album. This tribal organic Industrial trio consists of Andrew Trail (Inertia, AntiValium), John Murphy (SPK, The Associates, Death in June), and Hunter Barr (AntiValium, Infant Skull Surgery) - here unleashing an amazing (proper) industrial album of pounding percussion mixed with doomy electronic soundscapes and twisted songs melodies. For fans of Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Whitehouse etc.
Koan effectively deliver ambient and atmospheric songs which shall relinquish your soul entranced, perhaps as if it were caught in a pitch black forest. Their music will unfold the spaces in your intellect through a phenomenon of neon underwater dreams. Human voices, delayed rhythms, keyboards, and didgeridoos liquefy together to propel your brain's subliminal regions into the stratosphere. Koan is the mind expanding ritual of Zahaah (Himinbjorg) and Christop Pion-Chozenon (Spher). Track titles include Forest Transe-in, Neon Dreams,Chaos, and Rain. Godly and effective design by Steve "Los Osos" Miller.

KOMMANDO - 'Necroinvasiv' CD (L-White Records)
A pre-Thorofon project, dug up from the archives and re-mastered for this L-White CD release. Abrasive and raw (yet, loud and clean) Power Electronics with ragged frequencies, lurching, distorted crunch (think a more primitive Haus Arafna), and spasmodic outbursts, with uneasy, sickly vocals. One can see the roots of early Thorofon here, but for the most part, this is a much dirtier and grimier sound. Ltd x 300 copies in an A5 sleeve.

KONAU - 'Speech From The Shadows' CD (Eibon Records)
A "hybrid" creature formed by members of Italian Dark Ambient acts Subinterior and New Risen Throne. Disquieting and obscure dark ambient, with some amazing "melodic" structures scattered through the songs. The shadows are speaking... Will appeal to fans of Raison D'Etre or Desiderii Marginis. Highly recommended!

KORINTH - 'Sign Of Eternal Return' CD (Construct.Destroy)

KRUPSKAYA - 'Clouds Over Pripyat' MCD (Ignore This Records / Circus Of The Macabre Records / Ripping Thrash / Sassbologna Records)
"A truly devastating collection of 18 songs in about as many minutes, Krupskaya's terrifying grind-metal mix overlaid with harsh noise, stuck pig vocals and creepy samples is totally apocalyptic; the aftermath echoed by the strangely beautiful scenes of nuclear wastelands that adorn the artwork" (Collective Zine). Noisy, heavy and chaotic, UK act Krupskaya paint a bleak picture of the world. Ltd x 1000.
Pulsating drones, low-key rhythms and more importantly, the mass of dense radio noise that has even become incorporated in his own label's domain name, is the definitive sound of Krytpogen Rundfunk. Using gritty radio textures, shuddering digital noise and subdued rhythmic structures, this debut album elegantly combines simplicity with satisfaction. The layered sound hums and sizzles with the soothing quality of a crackling power line, achieving the glowing warmth of an electrical fire. Issued in an A5 foldout sleeve.
The debut album from this Belarus Neofolk / Military / Apocalyptic Folk band. 12 brisk and energetic songs in Belorussian language (one in Russian), sung to the accompaniment of grand piano, violin, trumpet and drums. The album tells of the great historical past of the Lithuanian princedom. A project for lovers of exquisite martial orchestral music, nostalgia-laden letters in your native language, making this album a delight hearing. Reserved for those seeking tribal and martial laconic tunes away from the conventional and rarities from atypical country in this musical genre. Ltd x 500 copies.
The project Kshatriy appeared on the Russian post-industrial scene in 2004 and Muzyka Voln now presents the project's first "professional" CD with the album "Slepok Sonzaniya" ("a mould of consciousness"). This work is based on the concept of consciousness of a warrior, a galactic warrior of light, bringing to world pure knowledge, infinite silence, perfect balance, a moment of power and might, a flight of freedom, love, serenity, joy, light, unified time, eternal life, simplicity and bliss. The music of the project can be described as fractal dark drone ambient with lots of patterns, woven from various sonic fibres: synthesized drones, processed field recordings, acoustic echoes and rhythmic loops. Calm and profound, filled with resilience and hidden power, like an endless ocean of tranquility, energy and beauty. Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak.
KTL is Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Gravetemple, Æthenor, Thorr's Hammer) and Peter Rehberg (PITA). Devastatingly beautiful four part follow up to the acclaimed debut CD recorded in a former abattoir in Angers, as well as a 16th Century manor in the west of France. Taking the blueprint that was laid out on the first record even further, with the ecstatic build up of ‘Theme’, the near psychedelic ‘Abattoir’, and closing with the twisted romanticism of the closing ‘Snow 2’. An upgrade both artistically and emotionally. As with the first CD elements appeared in the finished version of the theatre piece ‘Kindertotenlieder’ by Gisele Vienne and Dennis Cooper, which was premiered in Brest, France, March 2007. KTL - 'IV' CD (Editions Mego)
The long awaited new album by the ongoing duo of Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Gravetemple) and Peter Rehberg (Pita) is the first full length KTL release that is not commissioned work for theatre or film. Whereas the ‘Kindertotenlieder' trilogy of 1, 2 and 3 were blurred washes of fog and noise polished in by ambient shine, "IV" is a more direct and demanding beast, referencing such diverse projects as; volume era Swans, Mecca period Cabaret Voltaire, phase one Wire, Fushitsusha and This Heat... "IV" is a stunning new direction and great addition to both artists' already impressive canon, with blowtorch riffs... sub bass rumbles... driving bass pulse interwoven with razor sharp guitar... arhythmic and punishing drumming (courtesy of Atsuo, from Japanese top-rockers Boris)... black frozen resonant harmonics.
