Íon is the brainchild of Duncan Patterson (Antimatter, Anathema) and is named after the Gaelic word for 'pure'. Although primarily a solo project, a number of guest musicians are involved in this new venture by the Ireland-based musician, which hereby explores a more acoustic, dreamy and organic side to his composition. IRIJ is a one-woman-folk project brought to life by Eluveite violinist Meri Tadic in autumn 2006. Her compositions range from mere instrumentals all the way to a cappella songs. It's a journey through a Slavic soul devoted to tradition and sincerity. IRIJ is mentioned in Slavic mythology with almost oppositional meanings. Its the celestial residence of pagan gods as well as the here and now and the materialistic world. Her music sounds bewitching and bright, but dark and plain at the same time. These are new Power Electronics / Industrial recordings with the new member Mikael Oretoft joining on bass. Two long tracks - the first being an intense up-building, deep pulsating number with both spoken and rough vocals, volcanic exaggerated bass noise and doom-laden atmosphere. The second more of an aftermath with its down-spiralling, almost dreamy character of echoing tones, ripping clangs and chilling audio-schmerz. Swedish artists Martin Bladh and Erik Jarl, joined by Mikael Oretoft. "Order4" delves into the psyche of the self inflictor - the core of inner regions violently exposed. Comprised of four tracks, each exactly 15 minutes in length, we are thrown into a vortex of feedback, drones, heavy bass, nightmarish piano and irreproachable synthwork. The clinical heaviness of earlier works are now transformed into a pure harsh, static soundwaves. The lyrics here are deeper cuts into personal matters. A man altering between life and death - a calculating and delusional thinker and recluse who has lost his grip of reality, or perhaps found another? Irr. app. (ext.) is a project of Californian M.S. Waldron (recent live member of Nurse With Wound). "Kreiselwelle" ("Spiral Wave") is the third and final installment to a body of works composed under the influence of Wilhelm Reich, the unorthodox 20th Century psychologist. Waldron returns to the same collection of field recordings which began this trilogy; however, he restricted himself to those with spiralling origins: resonating springs, the ocean cyclically churning over pebbles on the beach, the wafting of air around various objects... Lustmord released “Crash Injury Trauma” in 1993, as a side project, under the pseudonym Isolrubin BK. “Crash Injury Trauma” is a shocking and disturbing album, unflinching and relentless in its fascination with violent car accidents. Tires skid and horns blare, followed by the sickening sounds of crashing metal and shattering glass, screams, sirens and heart-pounding bass. It’s a cruel, sadistic and horrifying tour de force in the ambient and power electronics genre. Following “Heresy” and “The Monstrous Soul”, and preceding “The Place Where The Black Stars Hang”, the album was recorded during what is now considered a pivotal period in the British artist’s career.
