(2008) "The Eighth Pillar" was the first full length release by UK Power Electronics outfit Con-Dom back in 1991 (SFCR). The CD is inspired by the life, writings and example of British author T.E. Lawrence - an enigmatic outsider who lived a tortured odyssey of physical and spiritual extremes in search of his own personal faith. The name of the CD derives from his book called "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom." The powerful sounds and strong vocals give a good impression on how torturing the life of Lawrence must have been. Con-Dom explores every kind of social tension with an acidic, violent and uncompromising attitude. Those who missed the LP version must see this record as a milestone or just a simple must! Contains the same booklet artwork from the original release. Digipak.

(2005) The UK masters of cultural noise terrorism, live at the CONSUMER ELECTRONICS #5 festival in Berlin, 10th April 2004. HAILSTORM / ARMANEN - 'Ink Parasite' 7" (Pylon)
Absolutely colossal power electronics - in fact, some of the finest power noise heard in quite some time. Like a cross between Con-Dom and old SPK, Hailstorm’s 'Ink Parasite' is a devastating wall of total pain....wonderful stuff. The flipside sees ARMANEN offering a piece titled, 'Ink Parasite' - this still something along the Grey Wolves line, but with a shriller edge, like totally solid Whitehouse or Sutcliffe Jügend. 1st edition of 500 copies.

MOTHRA - 'Doom Engine' CD (Three Plugs Records)
2nd album from this Tokyo quartet. Mothra create heavy industrial music with junk percussion and distorted vocals. This album utilises more metal percussion than the 1st album "The Remains Of Life" and sometimes takes on a Power Electronics feel ala Anenzephalia, Sektion-B or Con-Dom. Japanese import.

NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES - 'Scenes From The Next Millennium' CD (Malignant Records)
NTT present an infinitely bleak and apocalyptic vision that transcends what's normally classified as Power Electronics. This is the sound of a post nuclear-war society, where war machines shudder and the black soot of dying factory production fills the poisonous air. Structured elements of loops and samples meld with caustic textures, erupting amidst bridled chaos and pulsating waves of white hot, saturated noise and distortion. Confrontational vocals, powerful bass and noise that is as dirty as possible. Sits nicely beside Con-Dom, Grey Wolves and Propergol.

UTHANA-EISE - 'G.D.G.R.' CD (Halbwelt)
Uncompromising Industrial Noise, with disturbing electronics, distorted and criminal vocals from this German project. Some of the tracks are built on a rhythmic Power Noise basis, with a strong and clear structure and, rather surprisingly, with very few samples. Influences by such veterans as Con-Dom, Grey Wolves and Atrax Morgue - 'G.D.G.R.' is a must for all lovers of "no mercy" power-industrial-noise!
