DER BLUTHARSCH AND THE INFINITE CHURCH OF THE LEADING HAND & ALUK TODOLO - 'A Collaboration' CD (WKN)
A collaboration between French masters of psychedelic doom, Aluk Todolo, and Austria's, Der Blutharsch & The Infinite Church Of The Leading Hand, reincarnated from the ashes of the infamous band Der Blutharsch. Following the same concept as Der Blutharsch's 7" collaboration with NYC's psychedelic force, White Hills, both bands provided each other with two basic tracks to work on. The result is a heavy mix of both bands' unique styles, creating a strange and dark new universe of gloom and brightness. A journey into a strange underworld of music, a trip into the most "far out" and hidden corners of your mind, a dangerous joyride on a ketamine flavoured breeze of lysergic bliss. Spot-varnished digipak.

GNOD / A MIDDLE SEX - 'Split' LP (Blackest Rainbow)
Split LP from fellow Manchester weirdos A Middle Sex and Gnod. Gnod follow on from some killer releases over the last couple of years, with Bong, White Hills etc. 'Why Don't You Smile Like The Other Children?' opens with hazy strings and cosmicly far out voices, this slow groove packs a multi-coloured burst of rhythmic psychedelic vibes. On the flip side, A Middle Sex take up duties of doing some equally psychedelic, but in a completely different style. Their side is titled 'Polytheism' and is essentially made up of two tracks, the opener is a short wild spaced out cosmic synth piece, which is swiftly followed by a main 10 minute piece of layered drums and percussion, swirling electronics, distorted chanted vocals. Their side is all about the rhythm. Pressed on 140 gram virgin vinyl. Ltd x 500 copies.
