An interesting piece of Italian dark ambient. The intention here is to recreate the anxious vision of the beginning of the 20th century - desolated places of that period, fear, death, ruins etc. Particulary for this album, Neuestrasse were inspired by stories of serial killers. Neuestrasse is the name of street of where Fritz Hartmann, "The Wolf of Hannover", resided in 1920. The idea of "Introspective Black Forms" is based of negative emotional states. Poor alcohol and the smoky interior of a pub. The common despair shouted out in rare moments of sobriety. The terrible, absurd atmosphere of Poland in 50s and 60s of last century. Young people, poets, writers, painters and musicians thrown out of the "happy and ideal" society created by communistic authorities. People sinking their dreams in vodka. The works of those damned: Kazimierz Raton (1942-1983), Marek Hlasko (1934-1969) and Edward Stachura (1937-1979) was inspiration for this moving album. Musically it is perfectly blended mix of cold wave, Neofolk, pop and even echoes of decadent cabaret with different guest vocals. Digipak.
Finnish act PIMENTOLA has been active since 1996, originally with a line-up of two members. With a past release on War Office Propaganda and a future release on Cold Meat Industry, many of you will know what quality to expect! “MM-MMV” offers fine Neoclassical / dark orchestral music, while infusing ethnic and industrial sounds. Also incorporated are self-produced samples and acoustic instruments. An album very much in the vein of bands such as In Slaughter Natives or Raison D'Etre. Despartica is a collection of impressions, situations and moments in life.
