BARZEL - 'Born To Destroy Amalek' CD (Topheth Prophet)
(2008) The second album from militant Jewish act BARZEL (New York) is finally unleashed! 10 tracks of lo-fi Zionist Power Electronics... extreme walls of Harsh Noise, Power Electronics, screaming vocals... fits right beside fellow American heavyweights Brethren, Slogun, Prurient, Fire In The Head etc. Released in a matt digifile. Israeli import.
(2008) "The battle between Rome and Jerusalem continues through the ages. Spirituality vs. Materialism, Civitate Dei vs. Sin City. But where is Rome? And where is Jerusalem... and which is which???" Great Power Electronics split from Israeli act Drone Lebanon and well known Italian outfit Wertham (featuring John Murphy of Death In June, SPK, KnifeLadder etc). Outsized sleeve. Ltd x 497 copies. Israeli import.
(2005) The second part of the "Fauna" series by this project, the first of which (“…For Electronics and Birds”) was released by Stateart. Thematically and sonically centered around frogs and their environment, this release results from a collaboration with singer Victoria Hanna and also features contributions from Israeli artists Vadim Gusis (Chaos as Shelter) and Igor Krutogolov (Igor18). A mixture of field recordings, electroacoustics, improvisation and endless drones.
(2008) "Collaborating Torture" is one of the last known recordings made by Matt Gibney (Hollowing), who died in January 2006. Gibney, a member of SOIHADTOSHOOTHIM and label boss of the Rectrix label, was joined here by the prolific Maor Appelbaum (Grave in the Sky, Poochaltz, Vectorscope) to create a brooding and massive 54-minute track of dark, pitch-black ambient, hypnagogic swirls and industrialised drones. Sometimes subtle, yet mostly haunted and delirious, this is highly recommended if you like Wilt, Aidan Baker, Z'EV, Daniel Menche and John Duncan. Israeli import.

LIETTERSCHPICH - 'I Cum Blood In The Think Tank' CD (Topheth Prophet / HCB Records)
The debut album of this Israeli noise ensemble. The eight-piece group of Lietterschpich (Hebrew for litre of cum) has been boiling down foul language, obscene noise, primitive rituals and perplexing visual propaganda since 2004. UR - 'Trieb' CD (Topheth Prophet)
Ur was born from the collaboration between Federico Esposito and Mauro Sciaccaluga, both hailing from the hardcore-punk scene. The two joined in 2003 to create a new entity. Andrea Ferraris joined the band in early 2005. Ur's music is mostly based on improvisation that usually starts with drones or samples (with no pre-defined structure), over which they superimpose layers of electro-acoustic noisescapes coming from objects, field recordings, analog and traditional instruments processed using a load of pedals and effects. The sound paints a solid, harsh and dramatic industrial lounge where archaic instincts and modern obsessions meet. Outsized folder. Ltd x 300. Israeli import.
