Asbaar ASBAAR - 'Vita Mutatur Non Tollitur' CD (Midnight Productions)

Asbaar is the solo side project by Marc Merinee of Eldar. Asbaar is a meeting with our ancestors who speak to us in our dreams, and teach us how to run our lives, everything that lies between the energies that move the world. To hear is to connect with our collective conscience, irrational consciousness that unites all living things together with all the energy that moves the universe. Asbaar use environmental sounds, industrial or everyday, combined with mystic, religious and philosophical concepts , seeking a state of mind open to perceive all the nuances of our mind and come to understand and to internalise our environment and our ideas, wrapping us in soundscapes that will help us create our own space and our own conclusions. Digipak. Chinese import.

Fabio Orsi / Valerio Cosi FABIO ORSI & VALERIO COSI - 'We Could For Hours' CD (A Silent Place)

"We Could For Hours is instability. It represents the will to open the gates of unknown. It is the dark, whispered sounds and hidden truths. Chaos. And now here it starts, everything takes form, sensations rise, objects acquire colours, distorted vision but still a vision of reality... Silence. Sounds follow themselves but always hidden in a veil of mystery, words are mute, everything is listening attentively to the enchanting melody of nature... Everything is nothing. Nothing is the time. Time becomes memory and memory brings us to happy thoughts that rise first, then fall in the end. Hallucinations. The precariousness feeling is overwhelming us, tollings of a clock without hands are molesting our ears and they scan the slow and endless flowing of life. Too late to be back. There's no possibility. We have to live desolate countrysides burnt by an August sun. Lysergic vision. Void." Krautrock, Drone, Experimental, Ambient. Digifile.

Faust FAUST - 'Patchwork 1971-2002' CD (Staubgold)

"Faust will forever be heralded as a pioneer in the electronic/rock avant garde, emerging in the early seventies branching off from Brit/American commercial rock bands, employing the use of alterior sonic landscapes to create a new musical tangent" (Alternative Press). For this release Markus Detmer (Staubgold) and Hans Joachim Irmler (Faust) compiled unreleased Faust recordings from 1971 to 2002, covering the legendary Wumme Years (1971 - 1973) and the time at Virgin's Manor studios (1974- 1975) as well as their new start in the early 80s and recent years. "Patchwork" unfolds the core qualities of Faust and gives a deep impression of their working method. Appearing: Werner Diermaier, Hans Joachim Irmler, Jean-Hervé Peron, Rudolf Sosna, Gunther Wüsthoff, Arnulf Meiffert, Steven Wray Lobdell, Lars Paukstat and Michael Stoll. Digipak.

Faust FAUST - 'The Land Of Ukko & Rauni' 2 x CD (Ektro Records)

"A concert (84 minutes) by the current incarnation of the reformed band (original members Werner Diermaier & Hans Joachim Irmler, long-serving American guitarist Steven Lobdell, and relative newcomers Lars Paukstat & Michael Stoll), recorded in Finland April 20, 2000. As always with Faust, things are never predictable or easily categorized, and for the most part, the individual pieces tracked on the CDs flow into one another with only subtle differentiations at the track boundaries. Faust continue to make music (with noise) more interesting, diverse and compelling than most of the head music bands around now or then, be they psych / space / prog / stoner / kraut..."   Haare HAARE - 'Funeral Of Souls' CD (Freak Animal)

Haare is a well-respected Power Industrial / Psychedelic Noise project from Finland. "The astonishing ritual music of Finland’s Haare sounds as though it was commissioned by Mother Nature herself as the officially approved soundtrack for the creation... In Haare’s world, analogue synthesizers boil and simmer, Theremins shriek and funeral bells toll for some long forgotten calamity, as freeform bass and electric guitars wriggle and ancient cassettes half-caked with the detritus of untended playback heads struggle to project their sacred encoded messages... Beautiful, fantastic." (Julian Cope). Two long tracks of Psychedelic Funeral Drone.

Ramleh / 10inch RAMLEH - 'Switch Hitter / The Machines Of Infinite Joy' 10" (Black Rose Recordings / Broken Flag)

The first new material from the legendary Ramleh since 1998 and it doesn't disappoint. Powerful droning intensity, motorik rhythms and warped guitar riffs dominate these two songs with one containing Ramleh's distinctive distorted vocals weaving in and out of this inventive chemistry. "Switch Hitter" could almost be described as a full on dissonant rock track, but Ramleh's desire for experimentation and improvisation lifts it way above the general rock mindset. Ramleh have not lost any of their energy, excitement and ability to explore all possibilities. A very welcome return for Anthony Di Franco (Novatron, ex-Skullflower), Gary Mundy (Toll, ex-Skullflower). Presented in a j-card sleeve. Ltd x 500 copies. ACT FAST!

Viridian Sun VIRIDIAN SUN - 'Infinite In All Directions' CD (Hypnos)

Viridian Sun is a duo focusing on abstract improvisation, featuring Hypnos founder Mike Griffin, and Hypnos solo artist David Tollefson. Their last studio album "Perihelion" was released a full decade ago on Hypnos, though VS continued to record together and occasionally perform live. The new album "Infinite In All Directions" moves into slightly different sonic material, downplaying synthesizer electronics in favour of guitar and bass guitar, electronically treated and looped. The result combines sustained, blissful drones, along with occasionally strange, complex overlapping loops. Translucent envelope with booklet.

Viter VITER - 'Dzherelo' MCD (Casus Belli Musica)

Viter was formed in Ukraine in 2010, although the band members have come from other groups (Dragobrath, Capitollium, Ruina, Kroda, Apostate, Leadhaze, Ambivalence). Their music is inspired by the greatness of the Carpathian Mountains... it is their voice reflected in every note, in every sound. The songs of Viter are saturated with the fragrance of highland grasses, mountain spring water, winds bearing forest coldness. Soil and Air, Fire and Water have merged together on this debut mini-album. Listen to the song of the elements, hark to their voice, feel the power of the spring-well! Over 20 minutes of Pagan Folk-Rock / Black Metal. Beautifully produced etched CD.
