THEODOR BASTARD - 'Pustota' Enhanced CD (FullDozer)
Sixth album from this Russian outfit based in St Petersburg. "Pustota" ('Void') incorporates a wide variety of styles ranging from trip-hop / noise rhythms, darkwave / gothic mysticism and ethno-ambient / oriental melodies. "The deep enchanting vocals of Yana Veva and subtle, profound, tribal and modern arrangements make this creation a real masterpiece". Based on the concept of the collective unconsciousness and folk multilingualism. 2006 Russian edition in a digipak, with 2 bonus tracks and a video for the track 'Pustota'.
Despite their different musical styles, (Glitch, IDM, Dark Ambient, Neoclassical, Power Noise etc) these artists turn out to have a lot in common - all united by an experiment, an attempt to break through the defined borders of direction. Convergence (a strong coming together) and its many uses in language, is the inspiration of this collection. Feat: Andrey Kiritchenko, Brain Fork, Brompton's Cocktail, Fizzarum, Hladna, Noises Of Russia, Notchnoi Prospekt, PalSecam, Porch Nap, Spies Boys, Theodor Bastard, Vishudha Kali and Volga - plus a bonus track from S.P.U.L.
