The Fields of Hay The is a solo enterprise of Stuart Carter (Splintered, Theme). This debut release comprises five loosely cohesive pieces, created with simple patterns, organic samples, electronic sound effects, field recordings, voices and digital manipulation as an exercise in nature versus technology. The moods it nudges into view is, in equal measures, calm and intense, melodic and improvised, warm and inviting, and listeners should be able to almost feel the sun on their face during the opening piece. Carter is joined by Sonic Boom (EAR / Spectrum / Spacemen3) on 2 tracks.
