Seltenturm consists of the following releases: 'Mappa Mundi' (cassette, with bonus tracks), 'Fond' (one sided LP), 'Split' (split LP), 'The Surrough Gate' (10"), 'Vault' (7"), 'White Tusk' (7") and 'Dovidzdane Vanja' (7"). All of these releases were made in editions smaller than 250 copies, and are all long out of print. All tracks have been lovingly remastered and have never sounded better. FOLKSTORM - 'The Forgotten Tapes' CD (Old Europa Cafe)
After searching for an old Folkstorm recording in his vaults, Nordvargr discovered more unreleased material than he was looking for: old recordings from 1997 and 1998, all previously unreleased! Now, after more than 10 years, these old recordings see the the light of day. This is all harsh gritty oldschool Folkstorm, served up fresh and carefully remastered from the original analogue tapes. And just like its predecessor, it sees Lustmord digging deep into its sounds and atmospheres to go back to his "Where The Black Stars Hang" days. Again, gone are the gritty bits and guitars of "Others", as Brian Williams focuses here on what he does best: huge, monumental, pitch black spatial sounds that just need to be listened to as loud as possible. The music on "Lazhareem Ul Leper" ranges from percussion instruments to atypical electronics and the skillful de-construction of ethno-traditional music. Stylistically Lazhareem straddles the line between ethno-electro releases like Silknoose for its pervasive use of Indo-Pak music melded with Persian and Mid-East; along with more Industrial releases like Izlamaphobia and Blue Mosque for its occasionally tight, near-mechanical loops. Since 1995, the masters for Lazhareem Ul Leper languished in Staalplaat's vaults when it should have been put out for immediate appreciation by fans.
