Beequeen BEEQUEEN - 'Gund' CD (Plinkity Plonk / Korm Plastics)

(2003) Two recordings from two vinyl projects. The first four pieces on the CD were recorded early 1998 for a 12" vinyl single on which these tracks were supposed to be cut at different speeds (16, 33, 45 and 78 RPM). Due to its complexity of pressing this record was never realised. The fifth and sixth track were originally intended to form a 10" album of a most unlikely meeting by Beequeen and MSBR. Based upon a mutual sound exchange, both Beequeen and MSBR worked independently on their pieces. The label that intended to release this, stopped while both bands were still recording. Beequeen finished their piece in 1998 and MSBR decided to do a new piece in 2001. Ltd x 500 copies in a gatefold sleeve.

Mirror MIRROR - 'Still Valley' CD (Die Stadt)

Re-release of the LP version of "Still Valley", including one extra track. One of Mirror's finest works recorded by Andrew Chalk (Ora, Ferial Confine), Christoph Heemann (HNAS) and Jim O'Rourke (Sonic Youth, Gastr Del Sol, Illusion Of Safety) between May 2002 - January 2005. This album is a beautiful study of slowly changing drones, like a film shot in slow motion. One noticeable difference between this and other quiet Mirror affairs is the presence of oscillating pulses. These analog tones occasionaly accentuate the constant guitar drones, adding a shimmery quality, rather than becoming a competing element. Edition of 1000 copies in dye-cut cover.

Still STILL - 'Remains' Enhanced CD (Public Guilt)

Turntablist Still (Hsi-Chang Lin) unleashes a dark ambient masterpiece that borders on aural terrorism. Created using only Technics 1200's and an array of effects pedals, 'Remains' is not a "turntablist" record in the traditional sense, but rather ambient with textures. Opening with aggressive noise and evolving into delicate ambience, 'Remains' excels the preconceived range of the turntable, infusing emotion into an otherwise inhuman instrument. Also includes a rather nice Super-8 film piece. This first edition of 1000 copies comes encased in a slipcase and finished with a seal.
