This is the third full-length of Italian project Albireon. Since 1998 Albireon have developed a heartfelt and clear sound with acoustic guitar and keyboards. They have previously collaborated with Vittorio Vandelli (Ataraxia), Ian Read (Fire + Ice) and Sonne Hagal. In 2008 Albireon completed the "I passi di Li�", their definitive emotional masterwork. This is an album of mournful laments, remembering a lost beloved one, and is led by Davide Borghi's solemn voice. This nostalgic, evocative work leans towards Ambient and Post-Rock sounds, with ethereal moments and will appeal to fans of early Current 93.

A dark comedy or a folk drama about drunk birds, mocking spiders, empty bottles and lost souls. For this decadent party, recorded between late 2008 to early 2010 and graced by great emotional neofolk ballads and more experimental gloomy soundscapes, Albireon invited some very selected guests to share this tasty blueberry cake and offer the album a different palette of vocal nuances and a multi-national coven of damned artists' parade: David E. Williams, Lloyd James (Naevus), Sonne Hagal, Future Whirl (formerly Oberon) and Die Weisse Rose are the selected guests of Mr. Nightbird's party. These great artists offered a priceless contribution to Albireon's music and lyrics, and perfectly painted the sad main character, in his struggling pilgrimage toward love, loss, forgiveness and rebirth, but all seen through the drunk eye of the mocking spiders.
Debut release from this Greek Neofolk / Folk Noir / Neo-Cabaret / Experimental act, apparently created as an homage to Current 93. Their sound has gradually changed to incorporate different music styles, playing with folk-rock elements. This compilation of 15 European and American artists pays tribute to David Tibet's Current 93 which along with stablemates Death in June and Sol Invictus, founded apocalyptic folk as we know it. This tribute is acknowledged by Tibet himself who contributed to the CD artwork by providing an image of Ethereal City which is taken from his personal collection of paintings by the Outsider artist, Louis Wain.
