Control CONTROL - 'Deadly Sins' CD (Malignant Records)

Another pulverizing display of power from Thomas Garrison's Control. 7 tracks, thematically centered around the 7 deadly sins (with each track clocking in at 7 minutes), originally issued an extremely limited release (just 50 copies!) for the Elektroanschlag 11 Festival earlier this year. There is no atonement here, nor redemption offered. Just cold, jarring currents of massively built power electronics and horror filled death industrial, full of clamoring factory debris, razor sharp sheets of sonic violence, and grisly metallic grind, rounded out with Garrison's trademark vocal devastation. Digipak with design by John Balistreri (Slogun).

Slogun SLOGUN - 'Glory Of Murder' CD (BloodLust! / Circle Of Shit)

"Glory Of Murder" is the re-release of the early Slogun cassette (ltd x 100) released on the Italian label Soffitta Macabra in 1997. This cassette was a major entry in the evolving world of true crime subject matter, which Slogun was already immersed in, and it was also the last cassette released by Slogun prior to a notable switch-over to CD. This completes the reissue series. Like the first five re-issue CDs in the set, the audio for this re-mastered version was expertly prepared in Lille, France, by Jerome Nougaillon (Propergol), while John Balistreri's bold graphic design follows the standard that he created for the ongoing series. True Crime Electronics!

Slogun SLOGUN - 'We Human Animal' CD (Circle Of Shit)

A welcome release of brand new material from Slogun, and what a beast it is. "We Human Animal" is a scathing attack on humanity, delivered with precise, focused energy and contempt. Musically, this is a darker release, with a more restrained approach. But let's get this straight, that's strictly in comparison to some of John's other works. In reality, this is incredibly intense and sonically violent - swirling textured distortion and turbine charged electronics, with screamed, in your face vocals delivered in the classic Slogun style. Still, there's more variation here than a lot of previous works, with claustrophobically atmospheric, layered passages that make for a very complete release. Killer Power Electronics... but then, what did you expect? Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak.

This re-mastered version was prepared in Lille, France, by Jerome Nougaillon (Propergol), while John Balistreri's graphic design follows the standard that he created for the complete re-issue series.   Slogun / Sickness SLOGUN / SICKNESS - 'Sex / Death' CD (Troniks / PACrec)

From the gutters of New York City, Slogun is a punch in the gut, a kick in the face to the power electronics community.  Singularly obsessed, Slogun IS true crime, violent and dirty. Constant abuse, shouted vocals, searing sound. Sickness crafts his own brand of technical harsh, detail oriented blasts that cut and shatter. Movement, complexity, intensity; the defining elements of the Sickness sound. Includes a cover of the classic Slogun track "Kill to Forget". This release rescues all of the material from the extremely limited double 3" set released for their 2003 Japan tour. Packaged in a card sleeve.
