France - this country has lately given us a lot of martial industrial music: March of Heroes, Liyr, and now Auswalht. Their debut, "History Of Suffering", was released by Collapse Of Utopia, China. This time Auswalht treats us to a great dose of military music. Auswalht indirectly seizes the roughness of March of Heroes and Liyr’s atmosphere, not surprising considering that the music of Auswalht and Liyr was composed by the same person, Sven Mann. Reminds of In Slaughter Natives in places. Digipak.
Stunning vinyl reissue of Karjalan Sissit's 2nd album "Miserere", originally released by Cold Meat Industry in 2002. "Markus Pesonen's Finnish roots here are ridiculously obvious. Noisy Martial Industrial and sublime Orchestral music in the style of Sophia, Puissance, In Slaughter Natives or Triarii. Ltd x 300 copies on black vinyl with 2 vinyl-only bonus tracks! SEHNSUCHT - 'Wüste' CD (Cold Spring CSR124CD)
Former MAYHEM front man MANIAC, whose band SKITLIV has proved to be a surprising departure from the Black Metal genre for which he was best known for over 20 years, has formed a side-project with wife Vivian Slaughter, bass player/vocalist with the Japanese all-girl band GALLHAMMER, SKITLIV's guitarist Ingvar Magnusson and experimentalist Andrew Liles (NURSE WITH WOUND). Unlike SKITLIV, which is a noise/doom amalgam, with Maniacs vocals still firmly rooted in Black Metal, SEHNSUCHT is in the noise / darkwave / ambient genre, with any vestiges of Black Metal pared away. 6-panel digipak.
Third part of the Witch Trilogy. Dark post-classical compositions alternating between poignantly lyrcial and furiously dramatic, set amongst disturbing supernatural soundscapes, and unsettling cinematic sound design. Blending the lush sweep of Raison D'etre, the epic grandeur of In Slaughter Natives and a surreal violence to his sound design closer to musique concrete than dark ambience, Shinjuku Thief's 2002 album delivers on all counts. Enough touchstones to satisfy the audience's appetite for familiar territory, but with enough risks to transcend cliche. This is a magnificent album! Along with the other two albums in the trilogy this comes highly recommended! Textured card artwork.
