BOY DIRT CAR - 'Spoken Answer To A Silent Question' CD (Aftermusic)
The Milwaukee Noise ensemble Boy Dirt Car (including Eric Lunde) issues its first new recordings since 1988. Many of you will know the name from their appearances on RRRecords. "... I keep thinking to recognize the old Boy Dirt Car, but there is also strong memories of Impact Test [BDC member Darren Brown]. It's not easy to pin this down, but rock drone would come close I think. Slow, peaceful organ loops, heavy bass and siren like sounds, make this balancing on the fine line of ambient industrial and 'real' industrial, although this comes nowhere close to the real noise. Hard to imagine that eight (!) people play on this work. It's both retro sounding as well as new, this can be a true example for everybody who love their lo-fi noise / drone / rock music of the younger generation" [FDW]. Digipak.
