Beequeen BEEQUEEN - 'Gund' CD (Plinkity Plonk / Korm Plastics)

(2003) Two recordings from two vinyl projects. The first four pieces on the CD were recorded early 1998 for a 12" vinyl single on which these tracks were supposed to be cut at different speeds (16, 33, 45 and 78 RPM). Due to its complexity of pressing this record was never realised. The fifth and sixth track were originally intended to form a 10" album of a most unlikely meeting by Beequeen and MSBR. Based upon a mutual sound exchange, both Beequeen and MSBR worked independently on their pieces. The label that intended to release this, stopped while both bands were still recording. Beequeen finished their piece in 1998 and MSBR decided to do a new piece in 2001. Ltd x 500 copies in a gatefold sleeve.

Tate / Bradley DARREN TATE & PAUL BRADLEY - 'Sometime Today' CD (Plinkity Plonk / Korm Plastics)

(2004) Sometime today, is a collaboration between Darren Tate and Paul Bradley. In his own unique and intimate way, Darren recorded the basic tracks at his home in York. Including guitar, keyboard and various other techniques, these recordings were passed onto Paul who took them with him, along with a laptop, on a recent visit to Turkey. These original tracks were supplemented with various field recordings taken around the town of Fethiye and the piece assembled during this three-week visit. Voyeuristic, evocative, abstract and delicate, you are invited to spend some time in their sonic world. Ltd x 500 copies in a gatefold sleeve.

De Fabriek DE FABRIEK - 'Neveleiland' CD (Plinkity Plonk / Korm Plastics)

(2004) In 1983 Dutch experimental band De Fabriek ("The Factory") released their second album "Neveleiland" on their private label in a limited edition of a few hundred copies. Consisting of two beautiful and delicate sides of story-telling (in the Moluccan and Icelandic language) set in a droney, outer world landscape, the album was a landmark in the history of Dutch experimental music. Influenced by the Residents (circa Eskimo) and Conrad Schnitzler this album has a somber electronic sound in which the stories become alive. Remastered from the original tapes Ltd x 500 copies in a gatefold sleeve.

Flim FLIM - 'Ohne Titel, 1916' CD (Plinkity Plonk / Korm Plastics)

(2006) The second release by Flim (Enrico Wuttke) for Plinkity Plonk. "Flim's music is full of deep sadness. The liner notes explain that the music was composed as an attempt to cope with the loss of a child, trying to find a balance between hope and frustration. To create his music Flim makes use of piano, organ and thoughtful computer processing. Often just single notes are struck on the piano; they keep on resonating and then slowly fade before the next note is played... Other tracks are more drone-related, with acoustic sounds stretched out into warm, hovering fields... a point where pain and beauty converge in fragile and intimate music... Flim's music is full of sadness, but... there is also a stretch of light on the horizon, a short dreamy melody to be discovered here and there just below the surface" [Vital Weekly]. Ltd x 500 copies in gatefold plastic sleeve.

The Hafler Trio / 7inch THE HAFLER TRIO - 'Who Gave You The Ability To Envisage Perfection?' 7" (Plinkity Plonk)

(2007) "When we make a room ready, it's not a given that the appointment will be kept. Furthermore, what used to happen in the old days, and will now start to happen again, is that random visitors will appear. It's only natural after all. So when this particular slice of tangerine was severed from the tree, it had purposes that were commensurate with that particular time: but now we gaze on the visage of something bigger than had at first been anticipated. Revel in the ending that gave way to a beginning, although the path is not yet clear. There are no methods used here — but there are more things to tell when the bus reaches the terminus. As it will on completion of this piece of homework" [H30]. Clear vinyl packaged in a heavy silver-printed transparent vellum sleeve. Limited to 333 copies.
