A 28 minute-set of all new music by Fear Falls Burning (a VidnaObmana project), exploring the darker and nihilistic regions of drone music. Minimal repetitive motives which slowly evolve and expand into two unsettling harmonies of minor and solitude. The sounds vary from gritty, dirty guitar loops to long sonic landscapes with dense walls of sound. With no overdubs or post-production effects involved, the compositions progress in an organic and natural way, giving the music a special feeling and soul that is missing from many recordings these days. JOHN WATERMANN - 'Calcutta Gas Chamber' Picture Disc LP (Die Stadt)
Vinyl version of the CD released by Cold Spring in 2006 (CSR52CD). The concept of aurally conveying the horror of a gas chamber was realised through field recordings in an abandoned electrical power station in Brisbane in 1992. The sounds are grating and harsh, a mixture of field recordings and electronic manipulations. One can rarely pinpoint a location or action but the images the sounds conjure up are of all sorts of nefarious activities related to death by machinery. Limited to just 444 hand-numbered copies with stunning full colour artwork - act fast!

Strange mix of one long track, `Law`, on Side A, featuring bass guitar, guitars and Italian spoken vocals. Would appeal to maybe leftfield guitar experimental fans, or a little like some MAIN or TROUM. Nice picture disc. Side B is a different animal, po-faced drum patterns, often very similar to PANORAMA or BAPTISM-era LAIBACH. Ltd x 500 numbered copies with clear sleeve.
Reissue of two rare vinyls, presented on one CD. This is the ritual face of Troum! "Darvź Sh" was released in 2003 as a 10” vinyl on Beta-Lactam Ring Records, as part 10 in the "Lactamase" series. Darvź Sh is the etymological Persian source for "Dervish", meaning "doorway" (a metaphor for being between this world and the netherworld). "Ajin" was released in 2005 as a picture disc 12” vinyl on Equation Records. Ajin is Hebrew for "eye", but also means "colour" or "source" and is the 16th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The right eye looks into the sky for transcendence, the left eye looks to the ground to the word of god (one that dances and the other that speaks) - a balance of contradictions. A5 gatefold package.
