The masterpiece by L’Orchestre Noir from 1999, now remastered, remixed and re-released by Italian label Precordings. L'Orchestre Noir is Tony Wakeford (Sol Invictus), along with Eric Rogers (Gae Bolg), Nathalie Van Keymeulen and Céline Marleix-Bardeau (amongst others), who contribute to this mainly instrumental project - a vehicle for Wakeford's interest in classical and soundtrack composition - with bass, cello, harp, trumpet and violin building a ritual and magical requiem for the fallen of WWI.
