OF THE WAND AND THE MOON - 'The Lone Descent' CD (Heidrunar Myrkrunar)
The long awaited and anticipated 5th album from Denmark's Of The Wand & The Moon. Kim Larsen takes a different road to the previous albums. 60's influenced, where the love for Lee Hazlewood and Serge Gainsbourg shines through. Still keeping the dark Neofolk roots, "The Lone Descent" is without doubt the most bleak and melancholic album from Of The Wand & The Moon, and clearly shows Larsen's brilliant talent as a singer/songwriter. Features guests: Lorenzo Woodrose (Baby Woodrose), Aron, Soma Allpass (Mew, Martin Hall), Bo Rande (The William Blakes, Mew, Blue Foundation), John Murphy (Death In June, Knifeladder, Nico, SPK), John van der Lieth (Sonne Hagal) and Anne Eltard (Solanaceae, OTWATM). CD comes in glossy spotvarnished slipcase and 24 pages booklet. Features the artwork of Alex Rose.

SAGITTARIUS - 'The Kingdom Come' CD (Cold Spring CSR152CD)
Recorded between 2008 and 2011 and influenced by the intellectual world of the German poet Stefan George, "The Kingdom Come" contains 18 songs with a playing time of 65 minutes. With Sagittarius now grown to a full four piece line-up featuring new members Herr Twiggs (Kammer Sieben) on vocals and Theresia W. on oboe, and once again assisted by a number of highly gifted guest musicians, including sG (Secrets Of The Moon), Dev (While Angels Watch) and Josef K. (Von Thronstahl), Sagittarius has managed to conceive a unique and outstanding album in the tradition of the classic European Art Song, blending sophisticated neoclassical compositions with a touch of suicidal folk noir.

SOLANACEAE - 'Solanaceae' CD (Heidrunar Myrkrunar)
Solanaceae is the creation of Danish artist Kim Larsen, which portrays a more psychedelic folk feeling than usually put forth in his Neofolk project Of The Wand & The Moon. However the unmistakable voice and songwriting is still Larsen's, which probably leaves this album as close to an OTWATM album without being that. 13 songs with themes of magick, woods and mysteries, mainly written and performed by Larsen with kind help and appearances by Chelsea Robb (Arrowwood), Pythagumus Marshall (Novemthree), Michael Laird (Unto Ashes), John van der Lieth (Sonne Hagal), Fenella Overgaard (Of The Wand & The Moon), Vincent Farrow (Solblot) and Anne Eltard (who appeared on the first OTWATM album). Digipak.
Sonne Hagal’s second full-length album once more bestows the listener with a journey into the unknown realms of poetry, mysteries and enthralling melodies. Closely connected to Europa’s folk-music tradition and the Northern mysteries, the band develops song structures that reach from simple traditional arrangements to complex compositions. The songs, performed in German and English, reveal rediscovered poems as well as self-written lyrics. The atmosphere of the songs varies from intimate, quiet parts to fresher, light-hearted and lively sounds up to heavy distorted parts supported by real or electronic drums. Each song unfolds its own universe, interconnected by the central idea of “Jordansfrost”: the constant changing between light and darkness, the seasons or even life and death themselves. Guests: Of The Wand And The Moon, In Gowan Ring, Waldteufel, Ernte, Lux Interna, Darkwood and Black Sun Productions. Ltd x 500 copies with full colour inner sleeve.
