Formerly known as Big Road Breaker. "More sub-space transmissions from out of the void, other worldly murmurs and ambiences that shimmer like phantoms then fade into oblivion. Clicks, static and rumbles are allused as devices to convey abstractions of space and time. Layer upon layer of sound, treated to bring out new textures; the musical splitting of an atom" (Bizarre). Released in an edition of 500 copies, though only 300 were ever made available due to a shortage in the printed sleeves. Comes in a in PVC archive sleeve with multiple transparent and card inserts with obi strip.

FILIVS MACROCOSMI - 'Stalker' CD (OMS Records)
Inspired by and a tribute to A. Tarkovsky's movie "Stalker" (1979). Stalker is an elaborate puzzle. Its pieces are always scattered, and the listener is relied upon to bring the final element of the puzzle along with him. Stalker invites you to get carried away into your own thoughts, flowing with the images as it provides new questions to ponder. In that sense, the album is very much like a philosophical poem: a very simple surface covering innumerable layers of meaning. One long ride in a cart, with clunking metal and water-whooshing sounds. Altogether fascinating and hypnotic. "Welcome to your Self, an alien place guarded by barbed wire". Ltd x 500 copies in foldout sleeve. Ukrainian import.

LASSE MARHAUG & MARK WASTELL - 'Kiss Of Acid' CD (Monotype Records)
In recent years Lasse Marhaug has almost become synonymous with Scandinavian Noise. From his camp in Trondhem, Norway, he's been launching release after release with brutal noise both under his real name and with groups such as DEL and parts of the Origami Republika projects. London-based sound artist and composer Mark Wastell builds enormous atmospheres on the Tam Tam (here recorded at an abandoned school in Norfolk) with very little actual movement. Wastell's music is dark, deep and beautiful. Slow movements build up sonic pulses that are able to take over rooms and buildings. Together the duo have created over 40 minutes of drone / dark ambient. Gatefold ecopak.
Lotus Eaters is Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), KTL), James Plotkin (Khanate, Phantomsmasher) and Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom). Previously issued on CD, Plotkin has remixed, remastered and rearranged Wurmwulv for this vinyl edition using alternate takes from the original recording sessions. The 2LP also includes reworked material from Lotus Eaters' self-titled 7" released by Drone Records. 52 minutes and 29 seconds on 3 sides of direct metal mastered 200 gram virgin vinyl, the 2LP has a drawing by Turner etched on side D. Housed in a Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket designed by O'Malley, Wurmwulv features Stephen Kasner paintings printed on linen-textured woven paper, a spot varnished interior and flooded pockets. The Kasner paintings and Turner drawings included were created specifically for this vinyl edition. Reconfigured for vinyl, Wurmwulv is a solvent-soaked carpet ride into loose soil. Worms writhe over cilia as moist roots lick and graze skin. The dampened howls of wolves reverberate through water freezing into creaking crystals. When oxygen levels reach a critical low, a cacophony of clanging metal provides an inhalation of humid air." Ltd x 600 copies black vinyl. ACT FAST!!

MONARCH! - 'Mer Morte' CD (Crucial Blast)
First appearing as a limited edition LP on the Spanish label Throne Records in 2008, "Mer Morte" is now made available on CD as an unbroken thirty-four minute sludge-and-feedback feast that sprawls out further into the dismal black void that these French doom junkies have been lurking in for the past six years. As with previous releases, Monarch move through massive blackened tarpits of low-end riffage and sheets of gluey feedback that are stretched out into monolithic slabs of sound, a grim, glacial ultra-doom that crawls at a saurian sub-tempo. Vocalist Emilie sounds as gaunt and ghostly as ever, her vocalizations materializing across the spatial doomscape as distant ululating wails, breathy whispers, and putrid death shrieks. Digisleeve.
Third album from Germany's revered dark ambient project Phelios, following two CDs on Eternal Soul and a recent split LP on Loki Foundation with Kammarheit. With its swirling cosmic drones and sweeping, cinematic drift, the music of Phelios is breathtaking and hypnotic, often evoking moments of serenity and beauty, yet spiking them with deep cushions of ritualistic percussion and textural squalls that suggest something much more ominous and threatening looms on the vast horizon. Collectively, "Astral Unity" is thoughtful and concise - a vivid and richly detailed entity that's alive and constantly evolving, channeling the universe while simultaneously exploring the inner regions of a more primordial earth. 6 panel digipak, with gold foil stamping.

ROBERT SCOTT THOMPSON - 'Poesis Athesis (Music From The Flying Phoenix Films Of Terence Dunn)' CD (Lens Records)
Having originally worked together in the mid-80s, Chi Kung master Terrence Dunn once again contacted Robert Scott Thompson to compose music for his current series of video releases. Thompson composed the music to work specifically with the pace, mood and dynamics of the Flying Phoenix form of Chi Kung. The collaboration eventually spanned ten films and Thompson composed more than ten hours worth of music over a two year period. The thirteen tracks on "Poesis Athesis" are rooted in Thompson's ambient style but also blend with elements of electronica, ethnic influences and a personal homage to French composer Erik Satie. Thompson creates an atmosphere of calm and relaxation suitable for both introspective and meditative moments as well as chill out regeneration. Digipak.

THE PSYCHOGEOGRAPHICAL COMMISSION - 'Patient Zero' CD (Acrobiotic Records)
This album is an attempt to psychologically portray the mind of a Patient Zero, wandering through their urban surroundings infected with the solar downturn at the Summer Solstice and tracking the advancement of symptoms as the sun goes from the height of its earthly power to its astronomical nadir. Feelings of old are transformed as the autumn progresses, infecting others and feeding back into the shared experience, changing perceptions and projecting a new reality as signifiers take on different and separate meanings. Written throughout the six month period at times of lunar or solar significance and in multiple locations across the UK, each song portrays a thought, experience or mood of the time and place of its conception. A true and faithful relation of the Sun's dark passenger. "Fans of Coil and Nurse with Wound may stumble upon a familiar brilliance here..." (Zero Tolerance). Slimline DVD case with insert.

TOR LUNDVALL - 'Sleeping And Hiding' LP (Dais Records)
Tor Lundvall's unheard album of ghost ambience! Dark and beautiful soundtracks for afternoon daydreams and moonlit forest strolls. "'Sleeping And Hiding' was recorded in what seemed like the blink of an eye during the Spring of 2005 and then shelved while I concentrated on other projects. I originally intended this album to be the third and final chapter in the series which also included "Last Light" and "Empty City". Listening to it now, however, I feel this album stands alone in it's own unique space. Musically, it's an entirely vocal effort and somewhat more song oriented than my previous releases. Several of the tracks were inspired by evening drives through the woods, watching the copper-pink sunlight reflecting off bright yellow-green blossoms... The final track 'Sleeping' manages to conjure up the precise atmosphere of one of my earliest childhood memories: Lying in bed during a bright afternoon as the strange sounds outside lulled me to sleep." Limited to 500 copies, hand-numbered in foil-embossed sleeves with full-colour insert.
