Andrew King / 10inch ANDREW KING - 'The Harbinger Of The Decaying Mind' 10" (Old Europa Cafe)

(2004) Andrew King’s personal selection of those live recordings and un-issued tracks that he considers worth preserving from the years following his celebrated album "The Amfortas Wound". This 10" brings together six recordings from four very different occasions. Side one consists of 3 recordings in preparation for King’s performance at Hinoeuma in 2001. Side two contains collaborative pieces with noted experimental artist Andrew Liles (Nurse With Wound) and two live pieces. For the majority of these recordings, King was joined by John Murphy (Death In June, Knifeladder), Andrew Trail (Knifeladder) and Hunter Barr (Knifeladder). Ltd x 500 copies only on "traditional" heavy black vinyl.

Andrew Liles / Jean-Hervé Peron ANDREW LILES & JEAN-HERVE PERON - 'Fini!' CD (Dirter Promotions)

(2008) An incredible album from Andrew Liles (Nurse With Wound) and Jean-Hervé Peron (Faust). Here is something that sounds like a both a “Krautrock” album and also like nothing you can imagine. Its twists and turns keep surprising and thrilling you several listens on from the first. The words “classic” and masterpiece” would not be out of place here. Both Faust and NWW are touring all over the World this year, and profile for both of these legendary acts has never been higher. This release is packaged in a gloss laminated digipak, with artwork by Liles.

Andrew Liles / Jean-Hervé Peron ANDREW LILES - 'My Long Accumulating Discontent' CD (Nextera)

(2004) 'My Long Accumulating Discontent’ is the fourth and certainly the strangest recording from Andrew Liles (Nurse With Wound). This CD is in places more ‘melodic’ than Liles’ previous output and its 17 tracks cover a wide musical territory. Some songs are short and harmonious, other pieces are longer, subtle and contemplative with drifting delicate drones. In places the CD is truly bizarre and defies all conventions. The album doesn’t fit easily into any definable bracket and we feel this oddity belongs in a class all of its own. Traditional English vernacular culture connoisseur Andrew King joins Andrew Liles for one track and Aaron Moore and Nick Mott of Volcano the Bear contribute to several other songs. A distinct and peculiar excursion from the norm.

Bill Horist & KK Null BILL HORIST & KK NULL - 'Interstellar Chemistry' CD (Beta-Lactam Ring)

£5 Meltdown (2002) KK Null (Zeni Geva) provided sonic source material which Horist then organised, manipulated & added on to. So what happened? Scrumptious musical confectionaries with surprise flavour centres! The drum machinations pound out strains reminiscent of Ikue More (ala Death Praxis) or latter day Bruce Gilbert with a bit of controlled early Nurse With Wound wail thrown. Horists' guitar techniques are exciting, weird, rhythmic. Bill has crafted a cohesive statement out of all these musical explorations, which, in many ways, smells of the tectonics of 'OG' electro-experimental records of the early 80's & late 70's.

David Jackman / 10inch DAVID JACKMAN - 'Edge Of Nothing' 10" (Die Stadt)

(2004) "Edge Of Nothing" was first released in a cassette edition of 5 (!) copies on Jackman’s Aeroplane imprint, and then included on the legendary “The Elephant Table Album” DLP in 1983 (feat. Coil, Nurse With Wound, SPK, Lustmord etc). Both tracks presented here are the January 2003 mixes of the original material, which was derived from variously stimulating a cymbal with bows, knuckles, loops etc. An extremely dense piece of experimental noise where (allegedly) the B side is the A side reversed. Regular edition of 400 copies.

Entracte / VinylLP ESTHER VENROOY - 'Shift Coordinate Points' LP (Entr'Acte)

(2006) Singular work from this Dutch-born Belgian composer who isolates elements from The Conet Project’s macabre collection of secret shortwave "number stations" and assembles them in massively brooding late night dronescapes, repeat tone clusters and flashes of phantom electricity. Something supremely disconcerting about the mechanised voices and occult number calls and put in this context the whole piece takes on a bizarre / surreal almost Nurse With Wound air. 'Shift Coordinate Points' refers to an excerpt from William Burrough's novel 'Nova Express. Edition of 300 copies.

Forms Of Things Unknown FORMS OF THINGS UNKNOWN - 'Cross Purposes' CD (Panaxis)

£5 Meltdown (2003) The debut of Forms Of Things Unknown is a five-track, 30-minute EP of music ranging from dark ambient dirge to medieval sacred song to jazz-inflected art rock. Forms Of Things Unknown is the delinquent brainchild of San Francisco multi-instrumentalist Ferrara Brain Pan. His musical career includes early collaborations with noise music pioneer Boyd Rice (NON), and a fortuitous uncredited appearance on 1994's 'Rien' by Krautrock legends Faust (produced by Jim O’Rourke). 'Cross Purposes' was mixed and produced from material played entirely by Ferrara Brain Pan, excepting vocal performances by Bob Ayres and Shannon Wolfe and a cameo guest appearance by 'Babs Santini' aka Steven Stapleton of renowned musical subversives Nurse With Wound.

Lustmord LUSTMORD - 'Other' CD (Hydra Head)

Brand new release from the master of Dark Ambient! Lustmord has been creeping out the music world since 1980, prior to joining industrial forefathers SPK. By the time he started scoring films like 1994's "The Crow", he'd already worked with English experimental luminaries Nurse With Wound, Current 93, and members of Coil. His latest collection of night terrors and Lynch-ian atmospherics features guest appearances from Adam Jones (Tool), Aaron Turner (Isis) and Buzz Osborne (The Melvins). Presented in a stunning 6-panel digipak with booklet.

Moljebka Pvlse / Pulse MOLJEBKA PVLSE - 'Sadalsuud' CD (Some Place Else)

For this album, Mathias Josefson collaborated with colleagues from the Royal University Of Arts, Stockholm, who provided him with various sound sources. "Sadalsuud" refers to a star of the same name in the constellation of Aquarius. The name comes from an Arabic phrase meaning "the luckiest of them all". Nevertheless the album is rather earthy-sounding, yet mystical and surreal, almost claustrophobic at times. The sound is quite reminiscent of some works by Nurse With Wound, Maeror Tri or The Hafler Trio, but carries the trademark Moljebka Pvlse feel. Digipak, Finnish import.

Nerves And Gel NERVESANDGEL - 'NervesAndGel' 2 x CD (Discriminate Audio)

"From dirty socks to Sybian machines, the thrill of autoeroticism finds its way into the weirdest outlets. Johnny Wohlfahrt alone is Nervesandgel, perhaps the most self-indulgent entity the Denver music scene has ever birthed. Recorded across four years and two full discs, his eponymous opus occupies the hitherto hidden space between David Tibet and Will Cullen Hart, lubing up fractured acoustic pop with a slippery fistful of fizzy ambience and electronic squawks... The record's climax lies in the Nurse With Wound-inspired "So Confusing Yet Oh So Beautiful" - a title that, naturally, ends up being a perfect self-description. After all, there's no one better at servicing Nervesandgel than Nervesandgel itself."

Teho Teardo TEHO TEARDO - 'Tower / Microphone' CD (Final Muzik)

£5 Meltdown Known for his past collaborations with Nurse With Wound, Coleman (of Cop Shoot Cop), Lydia Lunch and many more, this Italian artist appeared 20 years ago on the industrial scene and continues with his sound research: electronica, avantgarde rock and soundtrack material. For this album, 24 contact microphones were placed on the roof, on the walls, between the bricks and under the ground of the ancient tower of the “ospedale dei battuli” in San Vito, Tagliamento. The mics were plugged into a PA system which made the tower itself one big mic! Further manipulations were then made. A great dark ambient, isolationist music album. Ltd x 1000 digipak.

The Wardrobe is an experimental project by ambient artist Andrew Liles (live member of Nurse With Wound) and Tony Wakeford (Sol Invictus). Guest appearances by John Murphy (Death In June, KnifeLadder etc) and Colin Potter's daughters Helen and Alice. Ltd x 1000.

Verde VERDE - 'Legenda' CD (Musically Incorrect Records)

"Legenda" is the second official CD by Verde, lead by electronics madman Mika Rintala (ex-Circle). "Legenda" is a logical continuum of the 1960's and 1970's wild electronic experiments and general recklessness of Finnish Underground Music, with evident influences of Krautrock heroes Faust, Can, Neu and Amon Düül - and the early Industrial pioneers Nurse With Wound, Throbbing Gristle etc. "The music of Verde is not meant for superficial listening. Verde challenge their listeners instead of trying to please them". Limited edition of 500 copies in a beautiful digipak.
