(2007) Sonic landscapes that convey a sense of the numinous, the horrific, and the extra-human. Electro-acoustic and computer music elements come brazenly to the foreground, and contribute even more so to the flow of "crawling chaos" that has always characterised and inspired Bestia Centauri’s dark ambient compositions. The genesis and development of a monstrosity is the theme of this work, which charts a course from mutated unicellular sonic DNA to the resultant life-form that reaches "from the jaws of the dragon, from the depths of the abyss". Presented in a stunning outsized gatefold digisleeve with printed inner sleeve.
Numinous Eye is an improvised psychadelic-cosmic-noise-rock project based around Mason Jones (Trance), and generally featuring the participation of various collaborators. Side A is from a live set in Tokyo at the end of 2005, with Koji Shimura (Acid Mothers Temple, High Rise, Mainliner, White Heaven) on drums and Higo Hiroshi (Friction, Shibusashirazu Orchestra) on bass. Side B was recorded live in the studio with Chris Van Huffle (ex-SubArachnoid Space, Gay Barbarians, etc) on drums. Limited to 490 copies on orange vinyl with insert and sticker.
