LUSTMORD - 'First - A Document Of Early Acoustic & Tactical Experimentation' CD (Dark Vinyl)
"First" was released as the first (untitled) Lustmord album on Sterile Records in 1982. The earliest Lustmord recordings show the project's industrial roots with a sound not far from Throbbing Gristle. This record incomparably represents art, ideology, uncompromising consequence and sound tactical proceeding of one of the most interesting, still existing members of the industrial music movement. "First" features John Balance of Coil and additional voices by Nigel Ayers of Nocturnal Emissions, and Nigel Dunster. The CD version features longer edits of some of the LP material, along with additional material (compilation tracks) not on the original.
The return of a true legend of industrial music! Probably one of the purest and most refined recordings from Nigel Ayers as Nocturnal Emissions, these seven suites find sacred atavistic rituals, Celtic resonances and natural hypnotic mantras, which bring the listener through an aural journey to the true roots of sound. The first part of the album can be compared to his masterpieces "Stoneface" or "Spiritflesh", which are more ethereal and atmospheric with beautiful natural sounds. The second part is more ritual and hypnotic with sacral moments. Presented with an elegant full colour sleeve and insert in a Limited hand-numbered edition of 555 copies on electric blue vinyl.
