"Rauhe Schale" ('Rough Shell') is the brand new album from Austrian legends Allerseelen, which fascinates musically as well as visually. Everything moves and flows in a field of force between industrial, metal, folklore and pop. Lovers of bands like Nine Inch Nails, Einstürzende Neubauten, Laibach or Underworld could also fall in love with Allerseelen. Gerhard Hallstatt sometimes describes his music as Electronic Folklore or Apocalyptic Rock. But basically there is no real description for Allerseelen - all attempts to find an expression for their music may be valid for some time, yet lose their meaning after a couple of months or years. The songs were inspired by various magical mystery tours in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy and Slovenia. Being friends and admirers of each other's work for a long time, electronic music composer / visual artist Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai) and composer / voice artist Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten / Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds) decided to join forces to initiate a collaborative project in 2007. Together they developed a musical concept combining improvisation and abstraction. Working on their own experimental material that gains its strength from the spontaneity of the live-performance of Bargeld’s voice as well as rethinking traditional songs in their own special manner, they deliver an outstanding and inspiring musical blend for their audience. Mimikry readopts two original tracks and two alternative versions from the "Ret Marut Handshake" EP, while also introducing six completely new songs. The CD comes with a special 16 page booklet presenting original text / drawings of Blixa Bargeld that developed during the recordings.

Available for the first time on DVD! This is the deluxe DVD/CD reissue of the cult 1984 German film featuring William S. Burroughs, Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV), F.M. Einheit (Einstürzende Neubauten), Christiane F, the prolific underground film star Bill Rice. The DVD features include a beautiful colour-rich transfer of the film with newly translated English subtitles, the original trailer, a slide show of 75 still production photos by Ilse Ruppert, a documentary on the Italian 'Decoder Collective', a 46-minute audio interview with filmmaker Klaus Maeck, rare footage of Derek Jarman filming Burroughs on set, and Berlin riot news footage used in the film with a music loop by Genesis P-Orridge commissioned specially for this DVD release. The soundtrack CD features Soft Cell, early Einstürzende Neubauten, Matt Johnson (The The), Dave Ball and Genesis P-Orridge, and William Burroughs. A lot of the music on the CD is not in the film and vice versa. NTSC, Region 0 (also plays on PAL DVD players), full screen format. 87 minutes.
