"So As" is the latest album by this prolific and inventive trio comprising of turntablists Petr Ferenc and Michal Brunclík and filmmaker Martin Ježek. Featuring four pieces and a film by Ježek lasting 10 minutes, this album witnesses BBNU not only honing the craft caught on their previous few releases and live sound but also pushing it into new places as well. The atmospherics and interstellar swirl of textures seen on their recent collaborative LP with My Cat Is An Alien serve as a great starting point to the quasi-dimensional blankets of abstract sound to be found at work here. This CD was recorded in September 2010 at the Babí Léto ("Indian Summer") festival in Prague. Two rising stars of the Czech alternative scene! Dark Ambient masters Cisfinitum and The [Law-Rah] Collective dedicated this split and common work to one of the very first synthesizers in the world, the ANS. The ANS, created by Russian engineer E. Murzin, is an incredible response to the synesthesia theories (the letters ANS stand for Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin who linked tones to colours). The ANS (only one copy exists and is kept in Moscow) generates special frequencies from drawings and can also create a visible image of a sound frequency. Artists such as Coil, Edward Artemiev (for Tarkovsky's "Solaris" soundtrack) and Alfred Schnittke used the ANS in their compositions. For this album, The [Law-Rah] Collective and Cisfinitum based their music on original sounds from the ANS as well as additional recordings of various analog synths, fractal and granular synthesis, voice, violin, field recordings. They give birth to an intense cold and grey music upon which fly ghosts of melodies, archaic or yet to come. A5 sleeve.

Re-release for the first time on vinyl, since it's original release in may 1980 - the one and only 7 track album from seminal radical and political punk / post punk band Crisis. 'Hymns Of Faith' was Crisis at their more reserved. The guitar was more innovative than on the punk anthems on their earlier singles, but the lyrics were just as politically bitter. Lyrically the album deals with subjects such as TV, violence, totalitarian Russia and European terrorist organisations. This was their last effort, as it had all begun to fall apart by this time for Crisis, with the band members going in different directions. Those readers familiar with the world of experimental music will know the name David Jackman, primarily from his work under the name Organum. As Organum, Jackman has created some of the finest, most haunting drone recordings of the last decade. This CD is a reissue of a 1996 cassette-only release that appeared in an edition of only 61 copies. Perhaps slightly similar to the sampling work of John Wall, here Jackman has taken found recordings of orchestras, and overlaid them to create two eerie collections of string ensemble collage. "Age of 369" was originally released on cassette in 1984. The lesser known "Chant 2" is also from this period and complements the sonic intensity of the other. Of further importance is the influence of Maurizio Bianchi (MB) and the mail art that was integral to the industrial underground. These reissues document significant works from Japan's Noise master. Made with a cheap tape recorder and a lot of tape loops, which were then manipulated by hand. "Lowest Music 2" was a very early example of that. "Wild Tracks" is a collection of ‘deliberate recordings’ made with other multimedia / film projects in mind.
