This album from the duo of Sachiko and Fukuoka Rinji (previously active together as Overhang Party), was recorded live in Paris and Japan in 2011. Features Fukuoka on cello, violin and electronics and Sachiko's intertwined voice drones. The sound takes in the surrounding atmosphere, and is filled with passion. The first piece offers a glimpse of unbearable reality from beginning to end in threatening tension. On the other hand, the second piece, which was recorded at a performance in church E'glise Saint-Merri in Paris, is sound of prayer and was dedicated in solemn drone loops to the song 'Prayer Of A Fool' from the late Overhang Party. UTON - 'From The Twilight, Next To Nowhere And Disappeared' CD (Musik Atlach)
Uton is the one-man project of Finnish artist Jani Hirvonen. Uton mixes elements of drone, avant-noise, free-improv, psychedelia, ambient, tape-music, musique concrete etc... sometimes wandering in the silent dark semi-acoustic mysteries, and in the next creating noisy walls of sound with outer space echoes and alien atmospheres. Musically this album shows the most mysterious and atmospheric side of Uton, created with electric guitar, small synths, vocals and different type of percussion, with some digital manipulation.
