DANIEL MENCHE - 'Bleeding Heavens' CD (Blossoming Noise)
(2007) "Portland-based artist Daniel Menche deconstructs the organ and trumpet on this latest album, yet little of the resulting work reflects these instruments in obvious ways. Instead, these four tracks sound like mechanical insects mating with pink noise and then giving birth to an apocalyptic swarm... Bleeding Heavens is proof of Menche's uncanny talent for mutating common sounds into tracks that are dizzyingly unworldly. A tour of his universe is unlike any other and well worth the time and attention invested in attentive listening." (Brainwashed). Digipak with sticker. Extremely limited stock - ACT FAST!

MECHA / ORGA - '56:24' CD (Absurd)
Mecha / Orga is the name chosen by Yiorgis Sakellariou from Greece. This work, indicated by it's length, was created one afternoon in February 2006, and played live thereafter a couple of times. The length becomes the title, and the listener can come up with his or her own story. Over the course of the fifty-six minutes and twenty-four seconds Sakellariou plays a slowly unfolding piece of Drone music, which grows in intensity throughout. When you think nothing more can be added, he adds another layer. And another. And another. Most suitable to play in the dark, at night. Or during the day, outside, watching plants grow. Multi-purpose music, I'd say. Great stuff. Powerful music. [FDW / Vital Weekly]. Presented in a full-colour wallet.

SERVILE SECT - 'Stratospheric Passenger' CD (Sounds Of Battle & Souvenir Collecting)
"...[a] bizarre, and hauntingly beautiful slab of alien black metal... You can almost picture some mechanical monstrosity, pieces of human flesh, various organs, somehow built into the machine's inner workings, everything grinding and sparking all in a Herculean effort to produce this glorious droning buzzing blackness.... The sound of Servile Sect is epic, and majestic....Fans of the new wave of droned out dreamy metal, black and otherwise: Nadja, Angelic Process, Ameseours, Alcest, etc. will dig this, as will dronelords who like their drones heavy and loud and yeah, a bit metallic... " [Aquarius]. Ltd x 200 copies in a beautiful 6-panel digifile.
