(2002) Dense Vision Shrine is a side-project of Norwegian Artist Karsten Hamre (Arcane, Penitent etc). The debut album “Magic & Mystery” spans 6 tracks of melancholic dark ambience and cinematic isolation. A stunningly beautiful artifact that grows with each listen. Recommended for all fans of Caul, Raison D’Etre etc. Enhanced CD with 2 video tracks.

The 11th official release from Norwegian act Penitent (aka Karsten Hamre) since 1994. Penitent continues with very varied ambient puzzles, creating a pure dark collage, based around the themes of graveyards and death. An orchestral touch appears now and than while a few other cuts move into more explicit experimental fields. Diverse ambient soundscapes are lead by a repetitive rhythmic background. Overall, agreat illustration of all the knowledge and maturity of this project. Penitent remains quite faithful to its established style and sound. Hydra is a division of the Salvation Group.
