Although it mysteriously shares a similar title and artwork with "Lost Time in Oblivion", "Time Lost in Oblivion" is a completely new album with no known connection to the 2007 release. Building upon a solid foundation of dark ambient, Dense Vision Shrine also employs sampled sounds and sparse rhythm to carefully design the listening experience of a realm where time itself has stopped, of a blackened voyage into oblivion. Each track of the album is distinctive, yet always possessing the signature of Dense Vision Shrine and proving unmistakably bleak. Ltd x 500 copies in a DVD case with bonus DVD of visual material used for the background screening during live performances.

Having created music for many years under such project names as Arcane Art, Penitent, and Defraktor, Karsten Hamre returns with the "Through the Eyes of a Stranger". Similar to his project Dense Vision Shrine, under his own name, Karsten crafts desolate dark ambient sound structures, ornamented by sampled sounds and experimental textures. The end result of this process is an experience categorized perhaps too simply as dark ambient, though it more closely resembles a dark soundtrack to a movie, or to a life - as seen through the eyes of a stranger. Ltd x 500 copies in a DVD case with bonus DVD that takes the viewer on a visual journey of imagery used for live performances.

PENITENT - 'Among The Sleepless' CD (Hydra)
11th official release from Norwegian act Penitent (aka Karsten Hamre) since 1994. Penitent continues with very varied ambient puzzles, creating a pure dark collage, based around the themes of graveyards and death. An orchestral touch appears now and than while a few other cuts move into more explicit experimental fields. Diverse ambient soundscapes are lead by a repetitive rhythmic background. Overall, agreat illustration of all the knowledge and maturity of this project. Penitent remains quite faithful to its established style and sound. Hydra is a division of the Salvation Group.
