Crisis came into existence in the late '70s amidst the British hardcore punk movement. They took the same energy that came from the youthful, raw anger of the Oi! movement, but with restrained lyrical phrasing and strict rhythms. Members include Douglas P. and Tony Wakeford who would later expand upon some of the Crisis material for their Neofolk group DEATH IN JUNE. Wakeford later went on to form SOL INVICTUS, whilst Luke Rendall and Lester Jones would later find involvement in Theatre Of Hate and Sex Gang Children, respectively. This is Crisis' entire remastered discography from 1978-1980, complete with a 12 page booklet featuring exclusive photos from Douglas P.'s private archives.

CRISIS - 'Hymns Of Faith' 12" (La Vida Es Un Mus)
Re-release for the first time on vinyl, since it's original release in may 1980 - the one and only 7 track album from seminal radical and political punk / post punk band Crisis. 'Hymns Of Faith' was Crisis at their more reserved. The guitar was more innovative than on the punk anthems on their earlier singles, but the lyrics were just as politically bitter. Lyrically the album deals with subjects such as TV, violence, totalitarian Russia and European terrorist organisations. This was their last effort, as it had all begun to fall apart by this time for Crisis, with the band members going in different directions. Douglas P. went on to form Death In June with Tony Wakeford (Sol Invictus), and Luke Rendall went on to form Theatre Of Hate. 30 years since its release 'Hymns Of Faith' still sounds vital and honest. Ltd x 700 copies on black vinyl with insert.
Flatlands (with 2 tracks) are seriously heavy in a stripped-down Isis style, with monolithic, catchy riffs crashing into each other and plenty of screaming. Sunshine Republic (with 1 long track) are on a more experimental tip, reminiscent of House Of Low Culture, though there are elements of doom, post-rock and noise in the mix too. The LP is limited to 330 copies and is presented on heavy grey vinyl and comes with acetate inserts. Offensive and difficult in equal measure.

Lotus Eaters is Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), KTL), James Plotkin (Khanate, Phantomsmasher) and Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom). Previously issued on CD, Plotkin has remixed, remastered and rearranged Wurmwulv for this vinyl edition using alternate takes from the original recording sessions. The 2LP also includes reworked material from Lotus Eaters' self-titled 7" released by Drone Records. 52 minutes and 29 seconds on 3 sides of direct metal mastered 200 gram virgin vinyl, the 2LP has a drawing by Turner etched on side D. Housed in a Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket designed by O'Malley, Wurmwulv features Stephen Kasner paintings printed on linen-textured woven paper, a spot varnished interior and flooded pockets. The Kasner paintings and Turner drawings included were created specifically for this vinyl edition. Reconfigured for vinyl, Wurmwulv is a solvent-soaked carpet ride into loose soil. Worms writhe over cilia as moist roots lick and graze skin. The dampened howls of wolves reverberate through water freezing into creaking crystals.
