FIRE IN THE HEAD - 'As The Nest Burns' CD (Autarkeia)
"As The Nest Burns” is an album about the darkest depths of psychosis, about the delusions and actions over which one has no control when entrenched in a manic state and the nightmares from which some never awaken. It is an album born in the blackest of times, to be listened to in the blackest of times. With this recording F/I/T/H experiments with new arsenal of sounds and techniques adding a heavily psychedelic edge to his mix of noise / power electronics / drone. These are the straight-jacketed screams from the bowels of a mental institution. Ltd x 400 copies.
FOUNDATION HOPE - 'The Faded Reveries' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
Foundation Hope was formed in 2003 by Joep Smaling. The main idea was to make dark cinematic soundscapes with a strong focus on the harshness and cruelty of everyday life. Ironically presenting itself as a foundation, an institute that comforts seeking souls in times of distress, it is instead an attempt to confront the listener with moods of isolation, despair and sorrow. Drones, strings, melancholic tunes, confusing vocal-samples and cinematic moods. A very successful follow-up to their 2006 debut "A Call To All Redeemers" (Divine Comedy Records).

INSTITUT - 'Live Like Traitors, Die Like Traitors' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
Institut at their best, with a live recording stocked with relentless noise outbursts, fuelled by hate and with mesmerizing intensity. A must for the Power Electronics addicts! INSTITUT - 'The Struggle Never Ended' CD (Cold Meat Industry)
This is the first CD without earlier member Johanna Rosenqvist, now the solo project of Lirim Cajani. A solid Power Electronics tribute to the struggle of the little man. A strong delivery of faith to the oppressed and a raging ripper for your right to only remain. The sound is more up-front live-centered, almost totally devoid of rhythms throughout and with a lot of anguished and hateful vocals. Full of drenching static and simple but effective walls of noise and reverberating samples which surely works sufficiently incisive. Kill your inconveniences!

MOLJEBKA PVLSE - 'Zojo' CD (Greytone)
This album was recorded during Mathias Josefson's studies at the Royal Institute of Art. He was inspired by the longest night of the year in Stockholm, the day when there is almost no daylight. His ambition was to make an acoustic album of minimal drone music without any musical instruments. Moljebka Pvlse set up long nylon strings across his entire studio, which he then plucked and bowed and recorded with his favorite contact microphones on that very night. These recordings became the basis of the album and set the tone for the rest of the work. Features Japanese artist Michiko Kashiba. Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak.
