HAPSBURG BRAGANZA - 'Hatchling' CD (Idiosyncratics)
"To the exorcism of the ghosts and escaping from cities". Hatchling is a slow-burning electro-acoustic piece, integrating dense atmospheric collage of field recordings and concrete sound source with highly textural drones and warm subtle harmonics. A very personal and breathtaking piece, both in the heritage of Francisco Lpez and Charlemagne Palestine. "Moving and morphing into various genres, musique concrete, field recordings, minimalist music, this is one solid sound experience. Very nice work!" (Vital Weekly). Ltd x 300 copies in an ekopack.
PHIL MAGGI - 'Blue Fields In Paramount' CD (Idiosyncratics Records)
Co-founder of Idiosyncratics Records, Phil Maggi is active as a vocalist in different decadent and esoteric combos such as Ultraphallus, Idiosyncrasia or Eve And The Sickness. Inspired by Maggi's visions and errances in eastern countries (especially Zagreb city), "Blue Fields in Paramount" is a very personal and fascinating opus, a beautiful introduction to the style of this talented artist, that could be qualified as 'dark psychedelia for daydream believers'. Mastered by James Plotkin (Khlyst, Khanate, Old). Ltd x 300 copies in an ekopack.
This album is a musical extension of a soundtrack produced by Y.E.R.M.O. in collaboration with conceptual and visual artists Nadine Hilbert & Gast Bouschet for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennial (running till November 2009). The music is an invocation of the coldness and cruelty of a borderzone between two worlds and a transmutation of fear into euphoria. The album is a unique piece of immersive ritual sounds, dominated by loud, distorted guitars, hypnotic percussion and industrial drones within rain-soaked Mediterranean landscapes. Mastered by James Plotkin. Ltd x 500 copies in an ekopack.
