"Kraftort" is the third album of Falkenstein, this time with a fresh progressive / psychedelic touch. The main theme of the album are our ancestors and the destiny of the ancient and veiled cult places. As a contrast to the mythological essence and the nature-mystical heathen lyrics you can find on this album a progressive apocalyptical song - a sombre vision of the future, that puts ourselves as ancestors for the coming ages and therefore a reflection upon us. How we will let nature and Midgard to our descendants? At the end will be the beginning! Falkenstein is definitely a unique and outstanding Neofolk artist of the new generation, who knows how to play his instruments and whose lyrics directly creep under the skin of each Pagan and Folk Music lover. FALKENSTEIN - 'Urdarbrunnen' CD (Heimatfolk)
Falkenstein's self produced debut-album "Heiliger Wald" gained a lot of praise in Folk music press. Their 2nd album "Urdarbrunnen" is now released by the Steinklang Neofolk sub-label Heimatfolk. "Urdarbrunnen" is again a perfecly played, strong and dreamingly beautiful album with a rich, varied instrumentation, even more dense and powerful than the debut album. The musical range lasts from acoustic ballads over Martial Folk songs to dark fairie tales about mysticism, paganism and natural rites in the Alpine regions. If Falkenstein were around 40 years earlier, they would stand in line with bands like early Steeleye Span, Magna Carta and Pentangle. Digipak with 16-page booklet.
Klammheim's debut is a collection of melancholic, soft-spoken and acoustic folk songs that occasionally reveal Klammheim's roots in heaver, rockier sounds. All vocals are sung in lead singer Dea's Styrian (Austrian) dialect, and to augment the band's line-up of guitars, accordion and percussion are guest musicians such as Thomas Bøjden (Die Weisse Rose) and Benjamin Sperling (Jännerwein). The album is based around the longing for the Heimat, the mythical homeland of German romantics and nostalgia for youth. Housed in a lavish digipak with 16-page booklet.

NEBELKORONA - 'Tannenhochforst' Enhanced CD (Heimatfolk)
Nebelkorona's 2nd album features seven tracks of finest dark and melancholic Neofolk. Lamenting acoustic guitars are mixed with romantic and melancholic piano parts, solemn synth landscapes and clean vocals. "Tannenhochforst" leads the listener to snow-covered alpine mountains and into wintry forests. The album is the perfect soundtrack for long and cold winter nights and for the soulful twilight in the alpine forests and mountains. The album is endowed with a crystal clear sound and features a great variety of moods and ambiences. Nebelkorona is a project of cz (Vinterriket, Atomtrakt etc) which was founded in 2003. The new album is highly recommended for fans of Vinterriket's "Horizontmelancholie" album. "Tannenhochforst" was mastered by Axel Frank (Werkraum, Triarii, Sturmpercht) and features a video clip for the track "Windstille". Digipak with 16-page booklet.
"Die Reise" is the third album of the east German Neofolk project Seelenthron. Seelenthron was founded by the two basic-members of the legendary Dies Natalis and on several songs on their third album they go a new way, using Folk/Epic Rock and Alternative/Independent elements. The songs on "Die Reise" are more varied than on the earlier albums, even using electric guitars and accordions. The lyrics are filled with a deep love of nature and the band's homeland Saxony, facing very personal feelings between hope and deep despair. Digipak.
Second full-length album from the two former Dies Natalis members, Norbert Strahl and Alex Meier. "Wege" is a classical Neofolk album in best tradition. Some songs mirror a sad, sometimes even gloomy picture of the world inside and outside of ourselves, other songs are just filigree Folk-ballads, as beautiful and dreamy as one could imagine. Nevertheless all nine songs always stand strong and powerful, showing a path to the listener, never to turn back and never to lose his courage. Martial rhythms drum stirringly to neoclassical compositions, united with impassionate piano and guitar playing and electronic sounds. The challenging lyrics on "Wege" deal with the stages in one's life, our path through time and the questions for the meaning and the purpose of life. Digipak with booklet.

STEIN - 'Haldor' CD (Heimatfolk)
Stein was founded in 2005 as the solo-project of Norbert Strahl, the singer of Seelenthron and founding member of the famous Neofolk outfit Dies Natalis. Norbert's aim with Stein was, to compose songs for the poems of Georg Thom (his grandfather), written between 1911 and 1936. In the beginning of the band, Norbert worked with Jens Vetter of Grünland, who also was ex-Dies Natalis member, but due to the intense work on Seelenthron, Stein stopped in the fledgling stage, until in 2009 the project finally grew to a real band. Finally in summer 2010 the first album "Haldor" was recorded in the Studios of Alexander Meier. "Haldor" is a mix of romantic-paganism and apocalyptic visions, packed in real handmade, classical Neofolk. The album is dedicated to Lorenz Klinger, Norbert's little son, who fights against leukemia with the power of a tiny rock. "Haldor" is Norse and means "Thor's rock". Digipak.
After several ultra-limited releases, German Neofolk Trinithos finally release their debut album! Their music is best described as dreamy Neofolk with a slight 'dark pop' touch, with orchestral parts, martial drums and even some apocalyptical dark experimental passages. On '333' the band plays a large variety of acoustic instruments (guitars, bass, violins, flutes, drums, didgeridoo), as well as a few beautiful electronic arrangements. With both male and female vocals in German, '333' deals with mythologic themes, nature, romanticism and theories of cognition.
