"Glassine I" was recorded live at the Ambient Ping in Toronto in 2006 and can be easily described as an organic space ambient, with very strong references to Pink Floyd (Ummagumma), Popol Vuh, Ashra Temple, Jackie-O Motherfucker, O Yuki Conjugate, AMP and Flying Saucer Attack or "Fourth World" ambient music! Four tracks of pure vibrant multi-layered psychedelic drone music from Aidan Baker & Co! Now, close your eyes, listening to "Glassine I" and start for your trip, even without the intake of any substances, waiting for "Glassine II". Digifile.

BIRDS BUILD NESTS UNDERGROUND & MY CAT IS AN ALIEN - 'Gramofonu = Voice Of The Universe' LP (Love Nest / Opax)
The first meeting of two improv acts, Prague-based turntable & 8mm band Birds Build Nests Underground and Italian psychedelic troubadours My Cat Is An Alien. Two different approaches to music make a sound that takes both from the unknown realms of the outer space and from the somehow-well-known world of old cracking records and the music and sounds on them. BBNU provided some of their live improvisations, MCIAA then chose those close to their hearts and laced them with sounds of guitars, space toys & ray guns, wordless singing and alientronics. Never has music of the spheres crackled so nicely. As if the whole galaxy lies on a giant turntable. The record starts with an exciting, ecstatic and excellent improvised speech by a Czech avant-garde poet Vtezslav Nezval who sees the whole world through his glass and the glass in the window of a recording studio. Ltd x 300 copies in a pro-printed sleeve.

FREIBAND - 'Stainless Steel' LP (Ini.Itu)
What Freiband proposes here is 2 sides of radically reworked gamelan. Side A seems to progress through an acid bath and take the magnifying glass to enhance the digital decays, evoking various stages of textural corrosion. Through these aggressive and irreverent treatments, the naturally metallic harmonics are by twist and turns abruptly dismantled and fractured into crunchy, dense and fuzzy fireworks. On side B, through some arcane wiring, some machines end up spitting out shifting binary patterns with a somewhat alienating feeling. Dry and uncompromising “Unerforschtes Gebiet” between minimal beats and Steve Reich’s early tape compositions. File alongside Hecker, Pita, Mika Vaino, Fennesz or Alva Noto's Xerrox LPs. Features 2 locked grooves. Ltd x 250 numbered copies.
ISOLRUBIN BK - 'Crash Injury Trauma' CD (Soleilmoon)
B. Lustmord released “Crash Injury Trauma” in 1993, as a side project, under the pseudonym Isolrubin BK. “Crash Injury Trauma” is a shocking and disturbing album, unflinching and relentless in its fascination with violent car accidents. Tires skid and horns blare, followed by the sickening sounds of crashing metal and shattering glass, screams, sirens and heart-pounding bass. It’s a cruel, sadistic and horrifying tour de force in the ambient and power electronics genre. Following “Heresy” and “The Monstrous Soul”, and preceding “The Place Where The Black Stars Hang”, the album was recorded during what is now considered a pivotal period in the British artist’s career. Out of print for nearly a decade, this new 2009 edition has been remastered from the ground up, and is presented in completely redesigned packaging.
Monno have come a long way, extending their malignant nature through thick layers of fog. For this new burial they've built a soundtrack like creeper with traces of gargling glass and atonal spheres that swing through the tracks like unidentified floating objects in the sky. At times you get the feeling your brain is attached to a mechanical beehive suffering various degrees of degradation resulting from the ingress of water and salt attacks. Without doubt their most brutal and menacing album to date, etheric yet droning vocals covered in doom frost... An impaired psychomotor as troublesome as the stars that hang above us, with the reeking odor of a thousand corpses. Think along the abandoned shores of Corrupted, Burning Witch, Ulver or Godflesh. PUSSYGUTT - 'She Hid Behind Her Veil..' CD (20 Buck Spin)
Multi-instrumentalists Brittany McConnell Blake Green reside in the rural landscape outside of Boise, Idaho, where they create their dark, foreboding sounds away from the chaos of America’s large cities. "She Hid Behind Her Veil…", is comprised of a single track over 45 minutes in length. The sound occupies a dense space where the heavy, metallic drone sound of Black Boned Angel intersects with the minimalist string arrangements of Phillip Glass and the more ambient doom tendencies of Japan’s Corrupted. With its use of violin textures, the album sounds as much like a classical movement as an art-doom release. Draped in a cloak of gothic black doom ambiance and eerie, unsettling moods, "She Hid Behind Her Veil…" is an apparition of ghostly vision from one of America’s more isolated environments. Digipak. Pussygut changed their name to Wolvserpent in 2010.
Reissue of Millis' extremely limited 2008 release (Ltd x 120). Despite his many activities, Millis' recorded output has almost entirely been by way of collaboration, making this gem of a solo album all the more special. Psychedelic smear pocked with snippets of conversation, poetic extracts from his collection of 78s and a judicious amount of vinyl crackling. Blissed out shimmers constructed from loops and drones from guitar, bells, and glass harmonica, where haunted melodies from times long gone whisper through the mix. As if Millis were tapping into some stream of consciousness that subcutaneously connects all of these intermingling sounds. Ltd x 1000 copies in a digipak.
"Furl" is the sequel to Seth Nehil’s 2009 release "Flock & Tumble". Continuing his exploration of physically charged, acousmatic sound, these compositions whip, crash, swoop, glide and burble. Clusters of bell-like tones pierce hazy, corroded atmospheres. Animalistic yelps, distant pings, percussive bursts and glassy swells all merge in this unique sound-world. These five pieces are both rigorously-assembled and gracefully sparse. Furl will be a welcome addition to the expanding catalogue in Nehil’s futuristic organic paradox. Presented in a 6-panel outsize sleeve.
"Visions Of Ecstasy" by controversial director Nigel Wingrove was intended as an exploration of the real life “visions” of St. Teresa of Avila. It’s well documented that these visions are erotic in nature so the project was on thin ice from the outset. The film was and is still the only film banned in the UK on the grounds of blasphemy, but the soundtrack by Steven Severin is available and features another ex-Banshees, Martin McCarrick on cello. A 45 minute ambient instrumental album at times reminiscent of the film scores of Michael Nyman and Philip Glass. Presented in a stunning 6-panel digisleeve (featuring a lenticular cover) with slipcase. Released on Severin's own label.
Please note that all remaining copies have a little bit of scuffing due to never having been shrinkwrapped, hence reduced price! We have put all copies into PVC sleeves to prevent any further damage. New & unplayed!

XENIS EMPUTAE TRAVELLING BAND - 'The Pyrognomic Glass' LP (Memoirs Of An Aesthete)
The Xenis Emputae Travelling Band is Mr. Phil Legard of the hallowe'ed borough of Yorkshire, England. He has been hard at work since 2001 making psychedelic folk-concrete inspired by the psychogeography and mythology of various secret regions of the British countryside. XETB has released plenty of limited editions over the years (all limited editions, long sold out etc etc) but, aside from one track on Cold Spring's "John Barleycorn Reborn" compilation, nothing in a "posh" format - until now. "The Pyrognomic Glass" was originally released back in 2005. By popular demand it is back, this time on vinyl, and including "Abital - or Conferences with the Genii of Nocturnal and Diurnal Dew in vii Chapters", a beautifully-printed 28 page chapbook by Mr Legard, most profitable to students of Natural Philosophy. ZILVERHILL - 'Latent-Active-Descent' CD (Adeptsound / Blind Shouter)
These new Zilverhill recordings are informed by both the art of August Natterer (Specifically ‘Axle of the World, with Rabbit’ and the “uncertainty of good fortune” depicted therein) and Lewis Carroll’s ‘Looking Glass’ (Nobody/Somebody). Nixon’s portentous voice and actions are intuitively fractured, reappraised and manipulated to form the spine of the pieces; the desolation of drunkenness and schizophrenia, cold, sarcasm, and distant / past / fleeting recollections provide the flesh. Thus the next idiom in the Zilverhill discourse is borne. Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak. The first 250 copies of which come with a hand-numbered postcard.
